SOTMK - Resuming Old Game

We have our next trip planned and my daughters are going to want to play SOTMK again.

Our original game was linked to my DD8's Magic Band as the primary. Do I have to bring back her band to see if they can resume her game (she completed a level last time) or can it be any Magic Band from our family group?

Also, I thought I read that now you can only get cards at the firehouse. Is that true?

Bring the keyholders old MB and it can be changed over to the new one if you would like. Cards and signups are only done at the Firehouse now. If your game was more than about 18 months "old", you "may" have to start over. Generally the system remembers games about 18 months.

Just took a look at the Shop app, and the only cards you can get there are in the SotMK board game and booster pack, for $14.99. The card pack has 7 cards, one of which is a super-rare card.

Thanks everyone! We are going to be within 18 months, so hopefully the game is still there. If not, no big. Now the task will be to find her old MB!

In a moment of weakness, I purchased the board game/booster pack when I had a Disney Store discount and it's being saved for Christmas or maybe for our big reveal.

I'm not sure who loves the cards more... me or the kids!

I believe the board game and booster pack cards are the same cards so they work in the in park game.
