Certainly related to my budget....

I have an interview tomorrow.

Not sure if I am hoping to get an offer or not, but I am glad to have the opportunity.

Interviewing for a position that I could certainly do, and would be a good match for my current skills. However, I am also in school for a teaching certification, and I am not sure that I am ready to give up on my certification program at this point. Also, not sure that this position will be paying enough for me to consider finding child care for 3 kids.

But it's been a while since I've interviewed, so I hope I do well!

Good luck with this! It's hard to know what to hope for so I'll just hope for the best possible outcome.

Thank you all.

It was the shortest interview in history! In and out in 15 minutes, and it's not because it didn't go well. The department head and I had a good conversation (we both worked at the same public library as our first jobs - I am a current student at the college where the job is) and he spent the majority of the time going over the job description/duties.

He asked a few standard questions, and we had some good conversation with the answers.

So I think it went well. No talk of $$$ or benefits, so I still don't know if it's even worth hoping for an offer, but he did say they will make a decision by next week. So one way or another, I will know something soon.

Glad it went well.

Whatever the outcome, consider it good experience!

I hadn't had a job interview in years--self-employed--when I began interviewing in the midst of the economic downturn. I consider all of the early interviews practice for the one that landed my current job! :thumbsup2
