Sorry - yet another transfer question!

I should know this, but seem to be getting conflicting info from the website, DVC owners (which I am, but I'm out of points for this year) and people with points to transfer.

Can transferred points be banked as long as they're current (not previously banked or borrowed by the original owner)? And of course, as long as they're still in the 1st 8 months of their UY?

Yes transferred points can be banked. Rumor has it that transferred points can be banked up until expiration, and are not subject to the normal banking deadline.

if they were previously banked or borrowed, they could not be transferred.

I know it used to be this way and I don't have a newer POS to check, but I was thinking someone said they changed this a couple of years ago where normal rules applied.
