I just wondered if someone would be good enough to check rates at AKL+ WL, for a total stay of 7 nights, split 4+3, dates 11/27 - 12/4.

Just DH and myself - we stayed at both last year and had not imagined that we would get back across this year, but as luck would have it, Virgin brought out a special deal for flights from the UK, too good to turn down!! We are not sure if we would get an AP rate at this stage, so thought i would ask someone to do us this huge favour.

no problem but I don't know if you will have enough time. 60 days out would be 9/27. I haven't kept up on the new BRP but doesn't it have to be activated before you can book with BRP?

Wow, I'm really confused. I purchased my AP in July. I have been checking AKL for two people for those exact dates 11/27 - 12/4 off and on for the past 6 weeks or so. I have never been able to get standard room even once and I have checked on this quite often. I also have not been able to get even pool/water lately. Right now, for those dates, all I am getting at AKL is Deluxe Savanah for 2107.00 (includes tax). I guess I'm just wondering why I was never able to see the pool/water rate that you saw. I am curious if you are still seeing that rate or if you are only seeing Deluxe Savanah right now like I am.
We are happily keeping our POR booking and will try AKL maybe next year.

If I put in the full week 11/27-12/4

If I put in each date seperately:

11/27 - 12/3 (12/4 not available)

deluxe savannah $301.06 per night

Pool/water view $1037.04

That was so nice for you to check, thanks! Funny, I just checked now and pool/water is available for all 7 nights (11/27-12/4) for 1678.00 (which is still more than I'm willing to pay). But at least I know the availability does change, so I won't lose hope until my 60 days are up, which won't be too much longer. And like I said, I'm perfectly happy with POR. I just wonder if the food court at AKL has as many offerings as POR. We found POLY's Captain Cook limited. Thanks again!

That total sounds like rack rate. It shouldn't go up $641 when you add 1 more night.

That's what I was thinking too, but I just checked the rack rates and for the same 7 nights, they have 2224.00 as opposed to 1678.00 (BRP). This is "water view."
