Ok, so here's the deal. Flying down with DH and 2 kids before Christmas and will use ME- no problem. DH and 1 kid going home after Christmas while myself and 1 child stay on. Another adult family member is flying in with 1 child to stay with us in the resort that DH and 1 child will be leaving from.

My questions are:
- Can the new adult and child coming in the middle of the reservation still use the ME to the resort and back to the airport?

- Also will my DH and 1 child be able to use the ME during the middle of the reservation to go back to the airport?

- If so how do I go about making these arrangements?

- Will I need to change the names on the reservations to the new guests?

Thanks for any help. :goodvibes

(IMHO, answering your questions)
1. No.
2. Yes.
3. At the front desk at least day before DH leaves and again to reconfirm your own bus time at least day before final checkout, if not sooner possibly upon arrival in Orlando.
4. Not applicable for ME, recommended for the room itself.

Yes people can arrive late and/or leave early using ME. The rule is, each person arriving by ME has to be on the room reservation prior to showing up at the ME welcoming area.

(changed my opinion) But I think that each "occupancy slot" in the room gets only one inbound ME trip and only one homebound ME trip. This is more or less enforced by the 10 day advance reservation rule for ME. In your case the room must have been theoretically able to accommodate the early returners and the late arrivals simultaneously through at least one night in order for all to use ME. Similarly you may not use ME to make extra intermediate trips back to the airport although you can make a case for such trips if there is a baggage problem that ME is unable to solve for you while you don't go back.

Not sure. After one party leaves can you go to the front desk and add the new guests to your reservation? Call DME and then make a reservation? The 10 day rule is only applicable for luggage tags. As long as the reservation is made prior to landing at MCO you're OK.

Unless you're on a package you could always split your reservation. That would be my argument if DME had an issue when you call to make the reservation.

Thanks to both of you.
I can't split the ressie because it is under the AP rate so if I check out midweek it will be way more expensive.

I'd give it a shot. Worse case scenario they'll have to pay Mears and will probably be transported on a DME bus. After you change the names on the hotel reservation, call DME.

I think this is one of the situations in which you won't know the real world answer until you actually try to do it. You mean if I don't check out and then check back into my hotel sis has to walk to my resort with my niece.
