Hi all! First, I want to thank everyone one here who posted to me earlier this season before our Disney trip. It really did help me. Saved some $ and had a good time. Thank you so much.

I know this is off topic for this discussion board, but I thought who better to help. :) Everyone here is so nice and helpful.

I just booked a trip to Branson through Sky Auction. A site I was told about through this site. :) They are a reputable site right? lol. I always get the gitters before a trip. lol. But, anyway, to the question. Does anyone know of any good sites for discount tickets to Branson, Shows? Silver Dollar City? Dixie Stampede? Anything? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

Planning another trip to Disney in January!! :hyper:

Hi dbb00,

my family and I went to branson this April and had a ball. The least expensive tickets I've found was at AAA. The St. Louis Post has been running an ad for a 3 park hopper (Silver Dollar City, Celebration city, and some water park) for like $60. But like Orlando there are several little discount ticket booths on the main strip. But again AAA has the cheapest tickets for the theme parks. They even have timeshare people hanging around giving away "free" gifts for various shows. If you get a chance go to Kirby's Magic Show it was really nice!!! We enjoyed ourselves!!! Plan to make this an annual thing!!!

dbb00,

We've used Sky Auction a couple of times (Orlando) and it's been great! The DIS boards (especially the Orlando hotels board) were full of info on the available resorts so we knew in advance about the hotels we could bid on. I wish there was something like that for Branson as we'd like to visit that area some time, probably using Sky Auction as well. Can I ask...did you win a Ready Set Go auction or a specific Branson auction? Did you know about the resort in advance? Thanks!

djm99,

How was the weather in April there? Would you say it was a good time to go to Branson? We've thought about going then...but I'm curious to know if the amusement park/water park type places would be up and running as early as April.

Thanks for any info! :D

The parks opened on the first weekend in April (around the 8th/9th) this year. April the weather is "ify" you might have really good weather (around mid 70's) and it could even be cold - depends. This year it was mid-70's. We didn't need a jacket during the day, but toward evening we did. The crowd was not very heavy, but that can be a good or bad thing - Depending on your personality. I like it when lots of people are out - more exciting to me (I'm the same way with Disney - we are August Vacationing people - every place is packed)

Thanks for the info, djm99 and MO Disney cruiser! Looks like a great family oriented place to visit! :D

Have your tried the entertainment book through entertainment.com. Right now you can get them for $10 plus $5 shipping.

Have fun; I haven't been there in years!

Thanks everyone for the info. Gotta try to save as much $$$ as possible. :p

Local_Girl - I had never used Sky Auction before. Just heard about it here. I have vouchers I had purchased from RCI at a great price, but they didn't have anything available this month when I went to look. I had given up, but then I remembered Sky Auction. I went to last minute deals and there were a couple different ones for Branson. One I was familiar with, but I didn't get that one. The other one I wasn't, but researched before bidding on it. Well, I got it for a $1, I guess because it had specific dates and they were coming up very soon. :teeth: I think with the fees and processing, it came up to $211 for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen, washer & dryer, etc. sleeps 6+ people. I called and confirmed everything with the resort afterwards and everything seems ready. From what I've read on here, Sky Auction is a reliable site. I'll let you know if I have any problems.

It's a little cool in April, jacket weather, but not as crowded which is nice.

Thanks everyone. I love this place because everyone is so helpful and friendly.
