Sorry Newbie here ? on AAA discount on existing reserv

I'm sorry to ask a question that I'm sure is asked all the time, but, I already made my reserv for WL deluxe room for Oct 2008. It is hard to book a deluxe room, as they have a limited #of rooms and they book quickly, so I booked it as soon as I saw it avail. I didn't even think to ask about AAA, bec I booked through WDW. Now my question is, can I get the discount after I already booked, and if not, should I try to book through AAA and cancel my old reserv if AAA can get a deluxe room(hard to do)? Thanks

There are only ever so many rooms that offer the AAA discount and they may not be deluxe rooms. In any event you cannot normally add a AAA discount. you can only book with one originally, you can then change that to a better code if one comes out. I assume you have booked room only not a package. AAA packages can only be booked through AAA.

Call Disney back and ask them if there is AA rate for what you need. If there is ask them to apply it to yuor ressie. If they say they cannot do that, then book a new ressie with the AAA rate, then cancel your other one.

I booked my December 2008 package, then had my AAA rep find out if they had that room with a discount, then we faxed a letter to Disney and had them turn the reservation over to AAA and I saved $250. If you want a room only ressie, call Disney and ask them if they have the room you want avail with a AAA discount, if they do, most CM's will gladly change it with no problem. There should be something avail, but if not keep calling back. I do that alot. I keep calling until I am satisfied with the room and discount that I want. People cancel all the time and Disney will open more blocks of rroms throughout the year and you never now what will become avail.
