Ok so we have decided on middle to late april08.
4 Adults and 2 kids, would love to stay in a villa with pool.
But money is a big issue, have got a budget of under £3000.(maybe just over)
This needs to include flights, villa and car hire.
Do you think this can be done???
What company is the best to look at for package deals???
Please help.
Many Thanks
steve

I am not so experienced at shopping around for best flight deals etc as we always get a Virgin fly drive.
If you are booking everything seperatley and presuming that you are going for 2 weeks your villa could be anything from £800 upwards (on average), normally we pay at least £500 per week.

Does your budget include your park tickets?

To be honest you may struggle keeping it under £3000, spending money is difficult to advise on as we are all different and it depends on how much shopping you will do, are you taking a credit card etc?
Groceries at the villa could be $300 or so over the 2 week period (again difficult to be accurate).

We normally take at least $3000 in cash, as we like to restrict our cc use.

Seems the villa is the easy bit found some for under £800,but the flydrive is a nightmare.
Is it possible to get flydrive for 4 adults and 2 kids for under £2500.
Looks like more saving is needed to me.

I've got flydrive with Mytravel at £311 per person for the first week in May. I booked this about January and it hasn't come down any further since then.
The problem you may encounter is that most holiday companies don't go to Summer flight schedule until May so your departure airport may be limited to main ones like Gatwick and Manchester and also prices higher.

We are trying firstchoice this year, we specifically want to stay in Windsor Hills (gaurded gated community, private pool, community pool shop etc.)

Looking at April 17th 4 adults 2 children (guessed around 4&7 but doesn't make much difference) Kissimmee private villa 3 bed and pool £3492 from gatwick (doesn't include insurance but it is cheaper to do seperately, our 7 seat minivan is £350 for two weeks all inclusive insurance included).

When (if) they release dates from other airports it may well bring the price down below £3000 we are going from Nottingham East Midlands and it has taken £400 off the same holiday, parking is cheaper (even more so using tesco clubcard vouchers) and near airport parking in Travel inn was £30 a room the night before.

It may be worth waiting til late May and seeing what prices the scheduled airlines are giving for flight only, as often this is the cheapest their fares are, unless they do special offers.

Then price the car up seperately along with the villa, although we have never been in a villa I would prefer to deal direct with the owners or through their agent as you then know exactly what you are getting and sorting any problems out could be alot easier.

You could be a little pushed. We are booking rubbish flights to stay in November, but we are desperate to go back to WDW in Nov as a family.

So we are booking flights with NWA :headache: I know they are rubbish, but when it costs £268 each for a return flight with a stop over, then so be it. Its a saving of £700 that convinced us hands down. If we were not on a budget then of cause we would book VA, but beggers cant be choosers. ;)

Our flights are roughly £1340 (travelsupermarket.com)
WDW Accomodation £960 (16 nights) disney.uk
Car hire for 3 days £ 84 7 seater car yes car hire

Total £ 2384

We will not hire a car for the full duration basically to save money. We are on site we can use the disney transportation service.

Say you booked our flights it would be

£1608 flights
£ 1,100 villa including pool heating
£ 294 ( 7 seater car for 14 days) yes car hire

Total £3002

If all these prices were around this sort of figure then yes you would be able to do it. The flights maybe more expensive than November. You might be able to get a cheaper villa or pay no pool heating, although I dont know if you would need it at the time of year you want to go.

Good luck.

Hope this helps.

I have used Travel City Direct for most of my trips to florida and never had a bad experience, I fhave just looked for you for 26th April 2008, depart Gatwick, 4 adults and 2 children ( did not know the ages so but them in as 12) seven seater van with full insurance, 3 bedroom villa with pool, disney area, allocated on arrival. Total cost £3010.
That seems reasonable to me, what do you think.
Same price also from Manchester

Personally I would not book a villa through a tour company. I would always book independantly. Many reasons main one for me is you will know the location, age and you have chosen it yourself. People have different demands for a villa and with tour companies you get what is given. Sometimes they are tired and further out than other villas. Be careful if you chose this route. Johnny can help. He is great a villa locations and deals etc :thumbsup2

Cant believe how helpful you all are on here.
Many many thanks to you all.
Going to use all your advice and see what deal i can get.
Once again many many thanks.
Sure i will asking more questions once i have booked.
