OK, please don't feel you need to reply to this thread I'm just a little cross and need to vent!
I purchased a beautiful pair of Mickey Mouse shoes (originally from DLP) on eBay the other day. They arrived at the weekend and I've been looking for the right time to wear them. I decided today was that day, I wore them downstairs and then had to put my wellies on to do the ponies. I put them up on the sideboard while we took the ponies up the field. When we returned our 'delightful' 9 month old labrador has covered them in mud and started to chew them.
I haven't had chance to look closely at the damage as I just chucked them in my room and grabbed another pair of shoes on my way out the door to work. I really hope they're salvageable! I'm so gutted and angry!

oh no! its not only puppys that do this kind of thing, our youngest (rescue) dog who is about 5 yrs old, has chewed a hole in my top, he got it out the washing, then yesterday he got my dd mitten/gloves novelty type that look like a teddy bear and chewed off the ears!!! she wasn't happy at all about that!

Feel for you, my parents beagle chewed my iPod case, laptop charger, kindle case, several remotes and telephones, my coat and a few books when he was a pup

Oh dear, that's twice this week, I've heard a similar thing. I hope you can replace them or get them fixed:grouphug:

My friend has a labradoodle, and in the last couple of months she has eaten a sock, chewed 3 shoes, pulled up every plant in the garden, chewed laptop cover, computer chair, 2 dog beds, stole a loaf of bread from a neighbours house, and the worse thing stole a pound bar of dark cooking chocolate out of her little girls hand while she was making brownies and had to spend a day in the vets on a drip, the dog was fine but my friend worked out the brownies came to about 40 pound each.:)

Thanks everyone, I'm slightly calmer now than I was this morning! :lmao: I've washed the shoe in question and it's now drying in front of the fire. It looks like the only thing missing is the little pull tag on the bag, got away quite luck I think! :cheer2:

Puppy meanwhile - butter wouldn't melt! :littleangel:

My beagle dog poppy once eat a. £150 pair of shoes that had only been in the house twenty minutes and never been worn , I sat on the floor and cried . Dogs have the I'm sorry eyes down to a tee

Glad they aren't too damaged:thumbsup2

Glad you managed to sort them out and they're not too damaged.

Little tip we used when cerb was a puppy. Get one of those rope toy thingys, soak it in water for ages, freeze it. Helps with their teething, bit like a teething ring for toddlers but for dogs :)

Phew ! thank goodness there wasn't much damage, the little monkey :)

Glad the damage wasn't too bad. Since getting our newest addition I think the bottom would fall out of the sock industry without us! Even my 14 year old has been seen sneaking off with socks whilst I'm sorting the washing out and then the puppy gets the blame! It's like children with the expensive toy vs cardboard box thing, it doesn't matter they've got lots of toys of their own, they want what they know they shouldn't have!

Would love to see a photo of your monkey(!) and your shoes. :)

I'm very happy to be wearing these today! Yay!

I'll sort some photos later on as work won't let me :(
