Hi guys. I've been laying low for about a week or so. I've been having to use all of my mental energy on some emergency issues (not physical emergency) that's going on with my foster daughter.
As some of you know, my DH and I have been fighting for over two years to have the opportunity to adopt our FD, but the system keeps putting it off. (termination of father's rights, mom's is already gone) We have been told time and again that the "next" court date was the time they were really going to terminate. Only when we go to court, it gets set over again. We really thought that things would be taken care of FINALLY on Monday before the terrorist attack, then of course, since the trial would be Tues. thru Wed. it was put off now till 12-10. AFTER DIS CON
I wanted to celebrate her adoption, now other things has came up and gosh, I just got overloaded.
I love my FD very much and I want what is best for her, but last week we had to decide whether what is best for her, is also what is best for the rest of our family. We had the old fashioned paverbial Y in the road and had to decide which one we were going to take. She is very high maintenance meaning that I have to give her in eyeshot w/ supervision attention at all times and that takes a lot of energy from you. She has been exhibiting a lot of symptoms of Conduct Disorder and it has been overwhelming in realizing the long term results.
I had to get away from her and all my responsibilities for a little while so I up and visited my Mom who gave me what all loving Mom's give. Time to recoup, a loving ear to bend, and the hug that no one but Mom can give.
I'm now back with more energy than I had when I left, and so here I am back here on the board with my friends. I'm looking forward to DIS Con so much! Thank you so much to those of you who have sent PM's inquiring about my absence, it really does mean a lot that I was missed.

I know I've already told you, but it never hurts to say it more than once 
so here it goes.........You're an angel on earth! I hope your DFD will calm down long enough for you to wrap her in your love and take her under your wings. ~*~pixie dust~*~ for you and your family.
