OK, I will say first off that I am a total newbie. I think of myself as a fairly intellegent person but for the life of me I can't figure out this whole booking thing!

Here is the deal, we are currently pursuing an OKW contract. This contract has enough points for our 11 night trip next June. We want to stay the first 6 nights at our "home" OKW and the remaining 5 at another resort. All nights will be in a studio and there are 2 groups going (so 2 studios needed for each night.)

So, should I call and book 11 months from the check out day of our last day for the whole trip or do I call and book each individual day? I am assuming I should book the whole thing at OKW and then try for the other days when the 7 month window opens for them? Am I completely out of luck if I wanted to go for a BWV studio? Are there any studios that I should totally rule out as being a possibility?

Sorry again for what probably seems like a stupid question for you vets but a total rational one to this newbie :) (I'm hoping I get the hang of this booking thing quickly!)

Congratulations on your pending purchase!

You will be safe booking the trip inone swoop, that is 11 months from the last check out day. If you want, I also think that you could just book the OKW part and wait until 7 months to try to get the last part of your trip at another resort. If you want to and are able to, I would call day by day for this new resort at 7 months.

Best wishes. Did you pass ROFR?

also, if you do book your entire 11 day trip at OKW first, and then when your 7month window opens up, you call for your BWV studio, you have to have enough points available with all those 11 nights already booked up correct? Or you would have to cancel those last couple nights and then rebook hoping their still availabe... I think i have that right

If you have the extra points to book both resorts, that's probably the best, but I don't think all of the BWV studios will be taken before the 7 month window opens. The Boardwalk view and the standard view may be gone, but who knows, at exactly 7 months day by day, you may get those gems too!
