The plasterer turned up yesterday morning to start re-plastering the house. He thought that the ceiling in the front room just needed skimming but once he got up his scaffolding, he found that the ceiling would have to come down completely and a new one put up. When he touched the ceiling it was moving
Fine. But the mess is unbelievable
And the extra cost too.
Then the double glazing company who are doing our windows rang to say that where we want a big window taking out and patio doors putting in, we now need a lintel putting at further cost of £220, Wish the surveyor from the window company told us this when he came round then i would of been more prepared for the extra cost.
I wish people could just give you a price for something and stick to it, or tell you of the extra cost which may occur.
Sorry for ranting
I feel better now.
