Sorry, another stroller ? Peg Perego P3 vs Macleran Quest

I have narrowed it down to these 2. I have read on here that everyone loves their Macleran but have read very little about the Peg Perego. I have looked at both online, I like the PegPerego because of the snack/drink tray in the front. DD likes her snack tray on our Graco fullsize for Cheerios and I'm afraid we may both miss it if it's gone. Are those with the P3 happy with it what are the pros and cons to both. Thanks

I just returned from DW with my new Quest and I loved it. Oh my god I will never go to the parks with another stroller again. My DD is 2 and has been to Disney 3 times, once with a Peg, once with an Inglesina and now with the Mac. Yes we have too many strollers. I will tell you the Mac was the best followed by the Inglesina then the Peg. I wish I never bought my peg it is that inferior to my Inglesina.

SO not to make your decision harder but I would look into Inglesina's over Peg's, then make the decision of the Inglesina vs the Mac. Both were very well at the park, but since my DD is 2 the Mac was just easier to deal with.

I had a Perego Pliko which I loved. I upgraded to the P3 this year and while I love the snack tray, I'm not thrilled with the stroller. It squeaks and just doesn't feel as sturdy as the other one I had.

We have the Peg and my biggest complaint about it is the storage area under the seat is not easily accessible. If I were starting over with a new stroller, I would not get this one again.

I have a Mac quest and an Inglesina. I love them both for different reasons. The Mac is better for travel and trips to the mall- it is lightweight yet sturdy and also reclines easily. My inglesina is like the mercedes benz of strollers - beautiful fabric, air filled tired, goreous canopy - but not as lightweight as the Mac - I use it when I walk around town or take a walk up to the boardwalk. I can't help you with the Peg - I have never had one. I also have triplets so my options as far as strollers were limited but I have a mac single and double and have never had an issue with either - my friends with heavier strollers (and less kids) are always jealous of my lightweight Mac.

Our big stroller is a Peg Atlantico. It's great for walks, errands, etc., but not for traveling. We considered the P3 before DD was born, but didn't care for the basket, split handles, and other things. I totally agree that if you do like the P3 that you should look at the Inglesina Zippy. That is one awesome stroller! If you are looking for a Peg, I would suggest the Aria instead of the P3. It doesn't fold up like an umbrella stroller, but it does fold up pretty compactly and it has a good basket and snack tray.

However, I feel that model is cost prohibitive...I need a new stroller because my fourth child just turned 1 and since we thought we were done, but had to start all over I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a stroller that only has to survive one child (we are, for sure, done now)! I want quality though.

While shopping around for strollers I have gotten analysis paralysis! I keep finding features that I must have, then other ones that seem better.

I am torn between a Mac Quest, an Inglesina Swift or an Inglesina Espresso.

I agree with the OP, everyone here on the Dis definitely seems to have a Mac obsession. Sometimes I think I lean a bit toward the Inglesina models for no other reasons than to be different.

HELP!!!! Advise anyone?

I have a Mac Quest and wish I had never gotten any other stroller. Keep in mind too, Macs are good to 55 lbs (not sure about the other) so you will get use out of them. I originally got ours for our 3 yr old to use at WDW. Now our daughter uses it mostly, but our son can use it still and hes 4. The only drawback is that the small storage basket underneath is hard to access. I got the Mac mesh organizer which hangs on the handles and it works great for stuff you need easy access to. The stroller does tend to tip easily when too much is hanging from the back and the child is not in the seat (my Chico Caddy didnt which was nice).

I have a Mac Daytripper and Volo, and used to have a Techno.

I also have a P3. If I was taking an infant to Disney, I would definately take the Peg P3. Why? It reclines fully, the padding is comfy for the baby, it steers one handed, folds compactly and has a carry handle, plus, you can jam a lot of stuff in the basket. You can also buy diaper bags that have straps that snap onto the handles for extra storage. The snack tray and cupholder are also a bonus, as you can use the stroller as a high chair.

You can't do that with a Quest.

Also, The Inglesina Zippy is comparable to the Peg P3, however, I'm very tall and I kicked the wheels on the Zippy. I don't kick the wheels on P3.

The Swift is like a cross between a Mac Quest and Triumph.
The Espresso is like the Peg Perego Aria.
The Zippy is like the P3.

I have a Zippy and a Quest, and we always take the Quest to travel. Actually, the Zippy is barely used and should be sold. But I digress.

Here are some additional random musings:

The Inglesinas are great strollers: they're less tippy than the Macs. The Zippy and Espresso baskets are easier to access than the Mac baskets. Mac is easier to steer one handed. Zippy is the easiest stroller to fold and unfold on the market. New Zippy (2005.5 and 2006) have a parent cup holder and "toddler step" for an older child to hitch a ride. The 2006 Zippy also has a snack tray available for the child. P3 steers a little better than the Zippy one handed, and you can take a longer stride with a P3. Zippy wheels are larger (that's why you kick them with a long stride), but that also means a smoother ride on rougher surfaces.

Wow, thanks everyone. After reading all the responses, I've looked into the Inglesina. I really like that one but I agree with the above post. This is for our 3rd and last child and I just don't know if I can bring myself to spend this much money.

Dh & I are not tall so I don't know if we'd have the problem of kicking the tires. If I go with the Inglesina, I'll go with the 2006 for the snack tray. Our trip is still a few months off so I'll keep shopping. Do places ever put these strollers on sale, a really good sale?

I have both a P3 (2005) and a Quest (2004) and I have used both at Disney World.

We are going to take the P3 again on our next trip. My son still falls asleep in the stroller and the P3 is so much plusher. I want him to be comfortable He loves the snack tray. Plus the hood on the P3 can't be beat. I bought a protect a bub rain shade that fits on all my strollers and I carry that in the basket in case of rain. I also use a Skip Hop diaper bag and I have plenty of storage to carry everything we need for the park.

I think the Quest is great for an older toddler or preschooler who likes to jump in and out of the stroller often and doesn't nap in it everyday. The hood and storage basket are small. It is very light to carry, small when folded, and a smooth push.

They are both great strollers, but I think you need to decide which one to take based on who is going to be riding in it

I have 3 children who are 7 (on Monday at WDW ), 5 and 3. I have had 5 strollers including an older Mac Daytripper and a 2004 Peg Perego Pliko P3. I LOVE the Pliko! My youngest HATED the umbrella style stroller when she was younger. She wanted to sit straight up so she wouldn't miss anything going on around her. I really liked the large canopy, the running board on the back for an older child (how old are your other children?), the snack tray, and the fact that this strollers stands when folded. I also really liked the harness. Its a 5 point harness that keeps the child safely in the stroller but the back comes off the seat so the child has a lot of freedom of movement. I think if I were you I would consider the Peg Perego Aria. It has the same harness, has a tray, is lighter than the Pliko, the basket is more accessable and it is cheaper. It doesn't fold like the Pliko but I don't think that would be a huge issue.

The '05 P3s and Zippys are going for about the same right now. Yes, stores do put these on sale and give some substantial discounts. Specialtybaby.com is a favorite. They have good deals and good service. They're actually a full-service baby store in NY called Albee Baby. They rock.

You can also pick up gently used strollers on craigslist.

Now I am as confused as ever!

Flat folds...I really like the Inglesina Espresso, but that Aria looks so good, too.

Umbrella fold I like the Mac Quest.

I can not decide. Everytime I fill a shopping basket online with my choice, I chicken out and go back to investigating!

Here is the deal: my son is baby number 4...for sure our last. He is 13 months old. My DH is 6'. I am 5' 3". We'll use it for short neighborhood walks, but more for carting the baby to his sister's activities (soccer games and dance classes) and shopping.

Somebody save me from myself... which stroller do you recommend?

I have a Britax Stroller and I love it. It doesn't have the tray and I wish that it did but the feature that sold me on it for our Disney trip was the medium sized backpack that easily zips on and off the stroller. We can put our cameras, a few diapers, wipes, and other needful things in it and still have some leftover room. It also has extra pockets on the backpack for h2o bottles. When we get to a ride we just slip it off the stroller and over our shoulder and there is no worry about valuables being, shall we say misplaced.
The stroller also has a neat feature where if our little princess falls asleep we can completly recline her, legs and all! Our daughter who hated strollers until this one now falls asleep in it. Now thats a cool. The price is around 140.00 where we live and I would buy it again tomorrow. That's saying a lot coming from a frugal gal like me. What ever you buy I strongly suggest you go to a store and roll it around with your child in it first. That way you know you made the right decision for you. Oh and of course there is storage underneath the seat as well but since I use the backpack I can't recall ever using it. Good luck with your purchase!!!

I hate my Aria. It is too bulky when folded and my DS (10 mths old) does not like to sit in it. I took our Volo to the parks the last time. DH hated it becaused it tipped a lot and did not recline. Wish I would have just bought the Quest instead of the Volo, but it was the same weight as the Aria. Now I will probably try to sell the peg and get the mac.

I know I'm taking my Graco LiteRider with us. It's super light, folds down flat and doesn't cost nearly as much as the other strollers (I wouldn't want to spend alot of money either) It's very sturdy, doesn't squeak, turns easily and has all the features of the full sized strollers like the canopy, underbasket, Parent's tray, and child's tray. I looked at the Peg Preggo and the Mclaren but felt the Graco was a better value. JMO.
