We have 4 kids, ages 9, 7, 3, and 22 months.
Southwest's website says that adults with children under 5 years can preboard (I realize this age may change as Orlando flights are full of kids).
However, does Southwest recognize each adult/under-age-5 child together or separately? I guess what I want to know is if my wife can preboard with the baby (and take the 9 year old on with them), while I preboard with the 3 year old, and haul the 7 year old along)?
Or would they have my wife preboard with BOTH the 3 year old and 22 month old, and then have my older kids and me board in the regular ABC groups?
I'd hate to be too far away from my wife, in case she needs to go to the bathroom--someone's gotta watch the little ones. We usually sit near the back of airplanes so the kids don't have far to go to the bathroom. Also, we are in no hurry to deplane, so we leave the forward seats for others who might need to deplane quickly.
