We are planning on leave around 5-6pm on Thursday July 26th and wanted to drive for a bit as wanted to have daylight as people said to do a lil site seeing along the way. How long does it apx to get to PA as we were thinking of stopping there and finding somewhere to stay for the night (didnt want to book just in case we have a problem)

anyone tell me anywhere in PA would be a good place to stop for the night (not too expensive well roughly)

How long from Toronto to PA

After that is there any good outlets eg. Childrens Place, Disney, anything for kids clothing as well do you know what tax is there.

Any other help is greatly appreciated as this is our 1st time going to Disney and want to make it a fun drive for the kids (even thoe they seem to like being in a car whenever we rent)

Thanks RObyn myasmum@hotmail.com

I believe it took us 8 hrs to get to Pittsburgh, from Aurora. We stayed at a run of the mill hotel, comfort inn or something. We've not driven since 2002 so I can't remember what outlets are where.

Erie, PA is where my folks usually stopped when they left late afternoon heading to FL. There are a lot of outlet malls there, etc, but I haven't been in a number of years. I'm sure if you google it online, you can find out lots of info. It seems to be one of the "group shopping trips" always planned at work too, so there must be lots to do.

The PA border is about 3.5 hours from the GTA (excluding any delays at US customs).

We drive to Erie, PA all the time. It is only a 3 hour drive. There are lots of regular malls, if you want an outlet you should go a little further to Grove City. They have an ENORMUS outlet mall. In PA there is no tax on essential items like clothing and shoes.

If you carry on to Pittsburgh that would only be another 1.5 - 2 hours. You might want to consider the morning traffic around Pittsburgh into your morning departure time if it's a weekday.

Since you plan on leaving home around 5-6pm you really won't get far. It might make more sense for you to leave very early in the morning and plan on stopping for breakie in PA. Spend the nights hotel money at the mall.
