i have been told that for the dining plan if you get the one day passes, they will be in the names of all those in your party

but

someone recently posted at check in they could get the names on the rkey dining plan pass card changed.( ie they said someone wanted prince fred or what ever instead of the actual name fred smith) so if i buy myw passes separate and then if need be for the dining the one day passes as a package, can i get those 1 days all put in my name at check in so i could use them all later?

and if so could my kids use their rkey/dining plan card that would have my name on it without me being there?

I have never heard of them putting a totally made up name on them. They will put Prince or Princess or His Royal Highness in front of a name, but they still put the whole real name on there. It is an ID.

Also your kids would have childrens 1 day tickets and those must be used by a child, unless they are over 9, then they would have adult tickets.

ok i thought they would put a different name on it, not made up, my & husband's real names so we could use them later as the others would have other passes ( it would be all adults as the"kids" are 26 -37:))

mainly i am trying to figure out a way i can buy better priced passes now in case they go up but still be able to get a 'package " if a good one comes along since that seems like what all the promos have been as late.

I thought about that same thing. Buying passes now to lock in the price. But every deal we have ever had at WDW was a package discount. It has always worked out better for us than an AP discount or other room only discounts. I think Disney might do this on purpose to stop us from being able to lock into todays ticket price...

I can not remember ever having to show a matching ID to use a key to the kingdom card at a gate. So you might be able to use them anyway. But upgrading them may be another issue.

If the ticket prices go way up I know I am going to kick myself for not getting an extra set of them this year, but then again if I had tried to do this on my last trip and bought PHP we would havebeen really bummed to miss out on the free dining.
