If you are only staying one night on cash via CRO, you will not get housekeeping service for that stay. Think about staying one night anywhere. You check in to a clean room. Then housekeeping cleans the room for the next guest after you check out.
Even if you are able to stay in the same room, it is very likely that you will still have to check out and then check in again at the front desk. That is why I don't think that the room ever gets scheduled for an additional cleaning - you are checked in for a point stay before the system ever has a chance to note the room is vacant (from a check out). Not sure I explained that very well, but hope you can figure out what I'm trying to say.
Assuming you are able to stay in the same room for your entire stay, my understanding is that you will get a Trash & Towel service on the 4th day - day one would actually be the first day you pay for with points. That would be the "normal" schedule (and as you already know, you can request to have that schedule changed).
If you have to change rooms, you would of course, get a clean room to begin your point stay, but T&T would be the same.
