Sorcery in the Sky

I just wanted to let everyone know this. We could not decide if we should go to MK or MGM on the 4th of July to see the fireworks. Someone mentioned to me that Sorcery in the Sky is only run about twice a year. So we decided to go to MGM to see the Sorcery in the Sky. What a great display of fireworks!!! It only lasted about 15 minutes but it was soooo beautiful. So if you ever have a chance to see it, don't miss it. I am so glad we made the right choice.

I agree - Sorcery in the Sky alone is worth the price of admission on the 4th.

Now if the rumored Magic Kingdom fireworks makeover is really coming this fall, we may have something similarly grand to look forward to over there

Remember the "old days" when sorcery in the sky was every nite. I loved this show! Best FW wdw ever had! MKY

We love this show, too! In fact, we have changed our 'traditional' trip dates from Memorial Day to July 4th just to see this show again!

I was lucky enough to be a College Program CM during the time Sorcery in the Sky premiered (Spring '90). Every night for a couple of weeks before its premiere they would run the show after park closing. We CP CMs were low-CMs on the totem pole and so we got all of the closing shifts. It really wasn't difficult during the test phase. Our leads would let us go out in the street to watch the show and then finish closing the shop. One night Michael Eisner was right in front of us as we watched it. (Saw him around the park often back then).

It was so neat to get to see that show so often. I really miss it.
