Sorcery in the Sky New Year's Eve?

I just called to make some ADR's and was told that Sorcery in the Sky will be at MGM on New Year's Eve - Can anyone confirm this? Think it's a good choice for 17,15 and 8 yo? I've never seen it!!! We were at MK a few years ago on New Year's but it got SO crowded we left - people were pushing and shoving to get the free hats! I wonder if MGM will be as bad??? (of course, youngest dd was only 3 or 4 so that made it even harder to stay that late anyways!)

Getting all excited now - we even lucked out and got an ADR for Cinderella's Castle breakfast!!!

We were at Disney Studios two years ago for NYE and we'll probably be back on Dec 31. It was wonderful. Sorcery in the Sky was great. They had three Fantasmics, so we saw the second one. They had a band on a stage near the BAH that played a little bit of everything. Dancing, singing, lots of fun. We had a great time.

We have gone three years ago for NYE and they had Sorcery in the Sky, we loved it! This being said, we were with local friends and they said that a lot of locals come out to MGM when they have Sorcery in the Sky since it is not utilized a lot since fantasmic and quite a few love the display. As long as you are patient and just keep a watch on your kids I think that it should be fine and a treat to go to MGM on NYE. have a wonderful trip

We have gone to MGM for New Years Eve for the past two years. Sorcery is awesome, and I find there is so much more to do at MGM than the other parks on New years. There are the Osbourne Lights, Fantasmic, a huge stage with bands by the sorcer's hat, and the rides and attractions are open. With all of this going on, the park does not feel crowded. It is my choice for New Years!

That is exactly what I wanted to hear! I am so looking forward to it - I really was at a loss about what to do on New Years Eve w/ the kids - this sounds perfect! We love the Osbourne Lights, too - didn't know about the bands - that'll only make it better! Thanks!!
