Sorcerers question

My kids started a game of Sorcerers at MK in February. We went back the other day, but had new Magic Bands. The CM said we had to start a new game because we didn't have the original MBs with us and that was where the game was saved. He gave us cards and started a new game for us. He told us to remember to use that set of MBs now. We never got to actually play the game that day. We are headed back to MK tomorrow. If we bring the original MBs will we be able to continue the game from February or was that game some how deleted when we presented the new MBs the other day?

Subbing, because I am curious too. I didn't know the game was linked to the magic band it was started on. I thought it had something to do with the key card.

My DS is ecstatic that we are going back to WDW within the year so he can continue his game.

My experience with this issue last Oct: the other game was still available -- not canceled. We kept multiple games going this way.

From what I have been told, you are able to have multiple games, they are all only attached to one ticket or magic band. If you want you can have one game attached to a band and another attached to your ticket. So if you bring back the other bands, you should be able to play and get cards for both games.

Yes, the game is tied to your "Key" which is either the RFID SOTMK card with the key on it, an RFID Park Ticket, or Magic Band. The game is not tied to your MDE accounts, so multiple linked Magic Bands will not work, only the exact same RFID identifier will.

The games are also not stored forever as the system is occassionally reset, but I don't know how regularly that happens. If you have the original RFID media you used before, it should pull up that game as long as it is still in the system.

Thanks everyone. We will try playing the original set if MBs tomorrow. That us good to know about getting a set if cards for each set of MBs. The kids will live getting two sets if cards!

In our experience it is not the MB or KTTW but the "paper" key card that comes with your game card pack. We have used that same card for multiple trips and have not had to start over even with different KTTW (pre MB) and MBs.

I had my Key card and was told by Cm that day/week that it was now on MB. so if I bring back my pink mb I could techinally still play that game plus start a new game with my red MB?

So, could I theoretically be running different games on different Magic Bands and get more than one set of cards per day? That sounds unlikely, but I wouldn't mind keeping the current game on medium level (getting 4 packs of cards) while also running one on easy for my younger daughter (getting 4 additional packs of cards).

We didn't bring back the key card so I am hoping it is on the MB. I will see tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you're playing one game or playing 5 games at the same time. It only matters how many admissions to MK you have that day. You have 4 people in your family at MK, you'll get 4 packs.

That certainly seems more likely. I didn't really think the scenario would work, although I still might use it to keep an easier game going for the little one.

You can't get any more new cards (unless you beat a mega villain), but you can put a new game on her band. DH and I have separate games and we have the same MDE.

One set of free cards per MK admission each day. At least as of Feb...

Random question...do you have to have played the day before to get a new pack? Last year we only played two days so we were only able to get a new pack the next day when we had beaten a land (so we only got three packs for our whole trip). I did not find that appealing. :confused3

Well... Way back when I didn't find this to be the case -- could get new packs without playing. On our last trip, we were told we DID have to play on one day to get another set of cards the next day. However, "playing" meant that you could do only one "window" -- didn't have to complete a game at all. That's as of Feb, at least...

We are here now and used the original set of MBs. We were able to resume our old game with these bands. It did not matter that we didn't have the key card.
