I have one "free" afternoon built into our trip and I can't make up my mind if my 8 year old son would have more fun doing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom or Agent P's adventure in Epcot. I'm sure he'd enjoy them both, just can't decide which one he'll love MORE. Any and all opinions welcome!

Both are great, but I really enjoyed Agent P. Agent P is a lot of fun, and it makes the World Showcase a little more "kid friendly." The adventure itself is really clever and funny. Also, Agent P has a very definitive "Start" and "End" for each mission (which can take anywhere from 15-35 minutes to complete at each pavilion). Unlike Sorcerers, which I always feel like I have to continue with until I'm too tired to stop, Agent P was a little more contained.

I completely agree that both are great. For an 8 year old, I would suggest Agent P. The missions are fun no matter what country you are in and it is cool to see the things happen in real life. Sorcerers can be potentially frustrating if the cameras don't register the cards. If you are in MK, you can get one pack of cards every day so even if you don't do Sorcerers, I would get a pack of cards because they are fun to collect and look really cool.

Younger kids, Agent P. Older kids, Sorcerers. Piers loved Agent P when we went when they were 10 and under. They are middle school and highschool now and loved Sorcerers this past June, even in the rain. Them being able to be more independent was nice for us too where when younger Agent P was more parent help required.

I would also vote for Agent P for that age. The effects are cool to see and you can pick the country where you want to do the mission. Sorcerers sends you where it sends you which is sometimes annoying (it always seems to know which land we don't want to do next). I also have a bias for actual things over screens so that's part of my perspective too.

Does Agent P work if none of you have ever seen the show? We'll be in Epcot for 2 days with an almost 8 year old next year and that's my concern.

Yes. We've never seen the show and the kids still enjoyed doing it. It's pretty standard secret agent stuff. There's the agent, the boss, and various villains. It's easy to follow.

There’s a short pregame show on the app that kind of explains the characters a bit. You are able to skip it if you want though.

my 8 year old really enjoys both, but I think he got a bit more kick out of Agent P on our last trip. For him, finding the clue locations was more satisfying since he was looking for actual objects and not just locations on a map. Either way, both are great.
