Sorcerer's Apprentice

still have not gotten there.............will most likely go alone as no one else in the family is interested.........i go alone a lot because of this.......i dont mind at all.... i actually imagine i will at some point in the future be on a solo WDW trip as my wifes health challenges (blood clotting disorder and leg issues) are getting to the point where she dreads walking the parks and she refuses to rent the motorized carts because of the things she hears guests say about the people that are in them at the parks. sometimes it is pretty ignorant.....wow where did all that come from...........so anyway i am going to try to get to the movie on sunday.

I saw the movie yesterday. It was ok. I'd give it a B-. Some of the jokes seemed forced. Many people in the theater didn't get the small references. I think they could have done better. I wanted to see more of Alice Krieg as Morgana.

finally got there last evening...........if there was a movie there they left it on the cutting room floor. it was a decent enough idea but they decided for some reason to take the comedy road and have a contest of who could do the most one liners. they would have been better served to leave the comedy to the villain.....who can ever forget Alan Rickman screaming "and cancel christmas"? when you have someone who can chew the scenery like Alfred Molina you should just turn him loose and make the rest of the movie very dark around him. speaking of villains there was one to many, the punk rock magician served no purpose whatsoever....... scare me......blow things up around me.......trick me.........then make me laugh.........nervously. i cannot recommend this movie.

Saw it yesterday with the family and really liked it. It had dark moments but was light hearted enough (overall) that I wasn't afraid it might spook my 13 yr old DD or the kids around her.

In my opinion, Disney has to walk a fine line with movies like this, not to make it so dark that it alienates certain family members, and prevents the whole family from being able to go together. But at the same time, it needs to be dark/serious enough to convey the overall theme of the movie, kind of like the Disney park rides if you think about it.

Saw it this weekend and thought it was fun. Some cool effects, some good moments. Not a great flick, but I thought it was entertaining and fun. I really liked the Fantasia scene, I thought it was a sweet acknowledgement. Did not stay for the credits, though. Usually we do, but that large diet coke was calling....

I am very excited to see this movie and probably more so because of a connection I have to it. When it was being cast and taped, a student of mine was set to play the main female child role. She was eventually cut though because they chose a much older boy for that role. I am still eager to see it though. :)
