Sopranos - Season finale

The whole season was very boring. Alot of the good characters were not used. Why did they have to devote two episodes to Vito and his gayness? That was a waste of time. Carmela going to Paris. Who cares! More time wasted. I like Uncle Jr. He had know air time. Nothing exciting happened. They now make us wait a year for the final 8. I just hope those eight are not as bad as the last 12 have been. I love the Sopranos. But this season has been a real let down. Maybe this is a way to let go of the show when it ends next year.

I loved it. It's like I'm so involved in the lives of these people.

I really like how Carm is haunted by Ade. I hope in the end that Carm realizes that Ade was really murdered by Tony & crew. Carm has been selling her soul to the devil. As long as she gets nice things she looks the other way. I hope her guilt catches up with her. If she really thinks about it she could realize that if they murdered Ade, they would & could murder her just as easy. It's like wifes/lovers don't come before the business.

Julianna is great as Christophers drug partner. Watching them spiral downhill together will be entertaining. I wonder how long it will take Chritopher to beat her up? I think her performance is & will be award winning if she stays onboard in January.

I loved that AJ is growing up. I just wanted to smack him this year. I think it will do him good to be responsible for a 3 year old. The girlfriend seems kind of trashy though.

What's up with DR. Melfi? That part of the story has stalled. They should spice it up a little.

Why did Bobby go to see Uncle Jr? What was the point of that? Was there money in the envelope? I didn't understand that scene, except when Bobby said that Tony would be angry for him going there.

I struggled to stay awake until 9:51, so you know it was boring. On a good night, tired as I was from all the Sunday goings on, it wouldn't have been a struggle to stay awake.

I'll have to catch the end on demand, but from what I heard on the news this morning, I didn't miss much.

I did like this part of the episode, not because I thought Julianna was outstanding, but because I think it really shows the type of girl Christopher wants, a girl like Adrianna.....I also really liked the scene when he's sitting in the dinner and his wife calls.....just a very real conversation......I'm sure it'll be like the 4th season for me, I'll hate it at first but then I'll go back and rewatch it and find all kinds of little things I missed

I believe Bobby went to return money to Uncle Junior that Jr. sent to Bobby for Christmas. I don't really know what it was about either, but I am thinking the dialogue between the 2 meant something, not that I know what that something is... :confused3

Slightly annoyed about how things ended though. They know that we love to watch and will watch anyway, no matter how bad the ending. :rolleyes1

It was like "A Soprano Familly Christmas" :happytv: (cool new smilie!)

I think I get what they were trying to do with this season, finishing up with some smaller characters, setting up the major ones for fireworks next year (I hope!) but I really expected at least something shocking last night.

I asked my DH if he thought she was really a mole for the FBI last night since first she was with Tony and then Christopher. But, after the drug stuff, I thought differently. Even seemed that it could be true when she was at the meeting, like she was sharing only to get Christopher to notice her. Guess I was wrong.

Bobby went to see Junior to return the envelope of money that Junior gave for Bobby and Karen and the kids. Karen, of course, has been dead for years. Nobody from Tony's crew should have anything to do with Junior because he shot Tony, so that's what Bobby was telling him, more or less.

Ditto, the whole season was, IMO.
::yes:: Thanks for the reminder... I need to call Comcast and cancel HBO right now!

Do you think Julianna is a federal agent?

Who is the guy who was standing by Tony in the hospital and said "we have to stop meeting like this?" Was he in any of the episodes when Tony was in the hospital. That line just sounded weird.

What was the meaning of the light that Carmela saw in Paris? Tony saw the same kind of light when he was in the coma.

:confused3

A federal agent that does drugs and has sex with repeatedly with a guy in the mafia? um no.

I didn't even realize it was the season finale until they showed previews for next year. I agree, it was a boring episode, and a let down for a season finale. Where was Pauli? :confused3 He's my favorite. Why spend so much time with new characters like Juliana and AJ's new girlfriend? I wish they would just stick with the main characters - especially since it is the end.

What do you think will become of the relationship that both Pauli and AJ have with the new girl character? Was Pauli just kissing her to be friendly or do you think she's a gumar (sp?) to him?

I think he's one of Phil's guys. He was in one of the earlier scenes from last night's episode when Phil and a few of his guys were talking about how to retaliate. He was the one that was most 'eager' to whack someone close to Tony.

The most exciting part of the night for me was seeing the Christopher scenes at the VIP diner in Jersey City where I ate many pizza burgers in my college days. I don't recall having many of the same car exploits that went on in the parking lot though! :rolleyes1

Lastnight's episode was a huge let down, but then again, most of the season finales of the Sopranos are.

Possible spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen it yet:

My DH was engrossed in something on HDNet and recorded it while I watched it upstairs. I told him not to bother watching, it was awful! A.J. gets a girlfriend who has a toddler, Christopher and the real estate agent that Tony was interested in a few episodes back are doing drugs and sleeping together and Phil's in the hospital.

Everyone went to Tony's for Christmas eve. Meadow is still in California.

Yawn, ho hum. That about sums it up. :sad2:

I'm not sure, but I sort of remember Paul fooling around with a young girl that night have been spanish. I wonder if it was AJ's girl.

I wish Julianna was a federal agent!! That would have made things much more interesting!

I did notice interesting thing about Christopher last night....he has a big mouth. If he's not careful, he's gonna get another one of his girlfriends shot

As a big fan of the Sopranos, I have to say that this episode was the most disapointing of all the season finale's they ever had. I have 5 seasons on dvd's and watch them on a regular basis and this season sputtered right out of the gate after the shooting of Tony.

I too kept expecting something to happen to Christopher when he was in the coffee shop at the end and he deserved it too. That would have been interesting to see Tony and his crew "go to the mattresses" as the old mob saying goes.

I guess the creators of the Sopranos don't care much for their audience with a two year wait between 5 and 6 and now this? I can see why the ratings are off compared to other seasons. Pretty lame season ending for long time Sopranos watchers like me, IMO. :confused3

She was the office clerk for the Union construction company that has to pay off their weekly protection payments, no show jobs, kick backs, etc, etc. Pauly kissed her on the cheek and flirted with her but would never treat her decently due to the fact that she's Puerto Rican and Paulie doesn't like people of color.
