Sopranos - I Need A Little Help

I love the Sopranos, but sometimes, I swear I'm a dummy when it comes to the storylines. I just don't always get it.

Can someone please fill me in on the whole Rusty whack job? I mean, I know these guys from Italy came to kill him, so Tony's "family" wouldn't be implicated in the murder - but I need a little background as to WHY Rusty needed to be taken out.

I got lost a couple episodes ago, and should have asked then, but I figured maybe I'd get it by now. I don't.

Alright, I think I'm getting it now. Thanks. This is why, at first, Tony wasn't into it, but then he changed his mind. I get so confused with all the different families and different "businesses". I admit, Sopranos is over my head sometimes.
