Thanks for the update. How wonderful for you to hold that sweet baby.

We'll keep praying for her so that she can come off of the ventilator and that her test will come back with good news for you.

The next time you hold little Sophie (I believe you will get to hold her again) please let her know that her Dis family is praying hard for her.

Our church youth group will be meeting on Sunday evening and I will be asking our teens, advisors and Fr Rich to keep little Sophie in their prayers.

Hello to all,

Well a busy day for all of us today, the doctors have begun the process of turning down the ventilator to see if Sophie can start breathing on her own. We are filled with concern and yet excitement. The ventilator was turned down from 15 "breaths"/min to 13/min and so far Sophie seems to be coping with it. The doctors do tell us though this can be a long process possibly taking weeks to complete. We contiue to pray for Sophie and the miracle we know God is capable of.

Again we thank our DIS family for the love, support, and prayers everyday and know that whatever God has planned, He does know what's best for everyone.

Thank you so much Mike for posting updates for all of us. I too look to this board ASAP to find updates on Sohpie (and then to the National Weather Service to find out about Frances...). You are on our minds all the time.

Also, you are VERY welcome for the purple ribbon, it was the least that we could do to show our support for you and your family. I was just glad (and overwhelmed myself) to see all the Dis Family add it to their signatures. Little Sophie sure does have a lot of prayers from around the world on her side. I pray that these will be answered.
