SOOZE 10 year Anniversary Getaway.. All DONE!

Shae and Emily must be in the same world of time change mess! Emily is still up almost three hours after her normal bedtime... and she loves to go to bed! I thought give it a day- but I can't stand it now!

So sorry to hear Tyson has strep! Poor little guy.

I hear you on the time change messing up sleep schedules. I've been going through the same thing with Aubree... she won't go to sleep until 9:45-10, then has been whining all day. Doesn't help that she has a bunch of teeth coming in. She took a 3.5 hour nap today which was crazy!

:grouphug:

Not that I'd wish toddler bedtime messes on anyone... but I'm glad I'm not alone!!

THREE HOURS?!?:scared1:
Hope she gets straightened out soon!!

Heh, I am just as bad as the little girls. I keep getting up an hour late. Which makes for interesting hair styles on my way in to school. I think I am setting my alarm for 2 hours before I need to get up, and let's see if that works..:lmao:

So.. it's been so long I've forgotten where we were...

Let's see...

Dole Whip confusion, Silly little jungle cruise...

Oh yes! Time for some REAL rides.. We're headed to DHS!

Bye Bye MK... see you later tonight!
Disney08AnniversaryTrip149.jpg

We grabbed a quick ride on the monorail over to TTC. It was weird just getting on the monorail and not being anxious about being the first ones to ask for the front... just wasn't as important to us without the kids!

From TTC, we hopped on a bus to DHS.

As soon as we got in, we headed straight for the Beauty and the Beast show. We were hoping to be there early enough to catch Return2Zero, but we had just missed the start of the show. What to do... what to do? Hey, honey... I'd just love to take that animation class again.... wanna join me?

Disney08AnniversaryTrip112.jpg

HE DID! Yes, folks, DH.. who dispises drawing... took the class with me. And, ya know what? His picture turned out GREAT! He really enjoyed himself.

This time we drew GOOFY!! Our instructor wasn't as good as the one I had the day before, but we hung in there ok...

We were on our way to wait for the next Beauty and the Beast when Matt decided to ask a CM about Return2Zero. Guess what? They weren't performing that day. WHAT THE HECK!?!?!:sad2: Oh well, no reason to arrive 45 minutes early. Let's jump on TOT instead!

We went to grab fast passes so we could ride after the show, but noticed the line was really short. We walked right on and enjoyed the ride! We also grabbed those FP for after the show anyway!!

B&theB finally started. We found some decent seats and I was able to get some okay pics for my little crappy camera. Here they are. Some are cropped, zoomed, and much fuzzier versions of originals.. bear with me!

Not to offend anyone, I really do enjoy this musical... but it just seems a bit dated to me. After seeing NEMO and FotLK... those two musicals just blow this one away, in my opinion...

We used our fast passes for ToT but totally didn't need to! No line at all!:woohoo: We even rode it TWICE and had a super elevator operator both times. He would say things like, "If you need anything, feel free to.. SCREAM!!!" Then he'd put his face right into the elevator door as it was closing. LOVED IT!! I just wish ALL CM's working this ride (and HM) would play the part that well. It makes for such a great experience.

Speaking of great experiences, the 2nd time we rode it, we were with a large group of Europeans who had obiously never ridden before. They screamed at EVERYTHING, especially once we started to 'slide' into place for the drop sequence. Hillarious fun!:yay:

It was nearing 5:00 and our ADR's at PTC!!!! We strolled leisurely over toward one of our favorite places in WDW.

Stay tuned to see if we get scolded... or if we have to do the scoldING!!

You know, the animation thing was on my list to do in December and we STILL didn't do it. I think because we were only at the studios for a few hours in the evening and then in the morning by myself, we ran out of time. I'll have to see if maybe DD6 will want to go with me in October. I'm not sure if DD4 would enjoy it or not, but DD6 is loving art class this year in school.

Sounds like you had a fun afternoon.

So, who is Return to Zero?? Is that the group that sings prior to B&B show? I thought that was Four for a Dollar?? THat's the only group I've ever heard there??? :confused3

OK... just googled it and found out that it's the same group. THey use the "Four for a Dollar" name at MGM, but they're really Return 2 Zero. :confused3 I'm still confused though....

great update and pics.

the Goofy pics are great.

TOT twice. :woohoo:

I don't think I ever saw Return2Zero.

I love B&TB but next time will skip it.

Great pictures! Can't wait for PTC.

Gotta love DHS.:wizard:

We love to have fun with the staff at PTC, last trip we were there during super soap weekend. We had a great cousin who loved to talk about all the stars, off the record of course.

Great goofy picture, haven't seen that one yet. Really enjoy drawing at Animation, such a fun addition. Wish they would change the movie part, I really loved the old Walter Cronkite/Robin Williams show better...............

Thanks for the update... hope Tyson is better and that Shae went to bed on time!

Hi Sooze! Great Update! Sorry to hear that Tyson has strep:sad2: You just can't catch a break huh! Well I hope everyone is doing better soon!:thumbsup2 I LOVE the Goofy pics. Animation is on our MUST DO list for April! I also haven't seen the Beauty and the Beast show in years and would love to go back, don't know if the fam will join me though:confused3 Looking forward to more!popcorn::

WHOAH! Awesome Goofy's

Thanks! We were proud of 'em!

Sure hope you get to try the animation thing. Just prepare DD6 that they move fast, and you get no eraser! I think that might stress some kids out! But it really is a GREAT thing to do at DHS!!

We had a REALLY fun afternoon, for sure!

I don't understand why they use 2 names, either. It just makes it more confusing for people who want to buy their music!:confused3

great update and pics.

TOT twice. :woohoo:

Thanks! and Thanks!

and we actually did ToT 3 times! Once before the B&B show, twice after. Have I mentioned I really LOVE that ride?!

Return2Zero goes by "Four for a Dollar" during the B&B show. They are the 4 guys dressed as stage hands that sing before the show. Apparently, they don't sing every day... so you might have missed them. They are absolutely FABULOUS!!

I'm skipping B&B show next time, too!

Great pictures! Can't wait for PTC.

Thanks! PTC will be an update almost to itself. I've got quite a story with it.... <<creating suspense>>;)

Gotta love DHS.:wizard:

I agree about the movie part... though I do love Mushu! I didn't make DH sit through that. We went in the back way through the Art of Disney store and just went right to the animation class!

We had a good Mom at PTC this time... except for one MAJOR incident....

Thanks for the update... hope Tyson is better and that Shae went to bed on time!

You're very welcome! It feels so good to sit and type one when I finally get the time... just brings all the memories back!

Tyson and Shaelyn are finally feeling great.. but guess who woke up vomitting this morning? Matt.... it is just never ending!!

Seriously... I feel like our house is a hospital ward lately... and all of those doctor co-pays:sad2:

The weather has been gorgeous here, so I plan on going home and opening up windows, spraying a load of Lysol, and praying for germs to BE GONE!!!

Definitely do the animation.. so fun! And exciting to see who you'll be drawing. I'm hoping to get Mickey next time!

Tell the fam they have no choice.... The shows they put on at Disney are truly Broadway caliber and are included with your tix price... so get in there and see it! But if you have to choose between B&B and Nemo or FotLK... do one of the AK shows... I personally think they are better and more up-to-date!

It's a totally different vibe, isn't it? Don't get me wrong - I love going to WDW with my kid! But it's sooo much more relaxed without him. :goodvibes

Oh boy - going by what I know of the two of you from your TRs, THIS is going to be fun!

Oh then I have seen them and loved them.

I will be lucky if I get Biff on it once.

Great B&TB pics- I can't wait to see that show. It seems like we will be seeing a lot of shows this trip. Could that be because we don't have the thrillride junkie of a now 7 yr old with us? I do believe so!

Hey-this must be of the "god things" you spoke of earlier when not taking kids!:thumbsup2

BTW-Great Goofys. DS would enjoy that one. Oh right-he's not coming this time. (Did I already say that?:rotfl: )

I'm with you... I ADORE taking my kids, but I also love being alone and relaxed, too. Two completely different vacations, no?

Thanks! We were proud of our Goofys!!

I'm not sure if it was fun..... memorable, definitely!... but fun...? You be the judge!

Oh then I have seen them and loved them.

I will be lucky if I get Biff on it once.

Good! Glad you've seen 'em and even gladder you love 'em!

Hope you can bribe Biff to ride!

Will this be your first trip without DS along? You will be amazed how relaxed you will be. Of course, you'll miss him a lot, too.. especially when you see other kids having fun... But, yes, there are lots of great things you can do as adults, that having kids just makes impossible. ENJOY!! Hope you get to see lots of shows!!

ToT......you can never have too much of that ride, can you? You had some good mojo that day....

Hi Sooze,

Enjoyed your update! I'm very jealous that you got to ride TOT 3 times!! I love that ride, but while we were there the line was ridiculous and fastpass times did not work for us. Maybe next time...

Can't wait to see who gets scolded! Patiently waiting for more.;)
