So as a person who has been going to the world for way over 10 years, I say this with all seriousness.
DISNEYS FOOD WILL NEVER AGAIN BE GREAT. Disney has absolutely no financial reason to improve their food quality.
None whatsoever. with the dining plan and
free dining, they can keep guest on site. most guest going to disney as long as they feel they are getting a bargain (hence the
ddp) don't really care if the food is mediocre.
Afer trying most restaurants at the world, I have accepted that disney's food will be chain food restaurant at best.
Now I have to add a disclaimer: I grew up in my familys restaurant in NYC. I don't buy into the excuse that disney has to feed millions of people. Sorry you can feed the masses with quality food. NYC does it every day, Las Vegas does it every day.
I make what I call just in case ADR's. I make them just in case we don't feel like leaving a park, not because I really think I'm going to get a good meal.
Meals are extremely important to me and my family. In our opinion there is nothing worse than sitting down at the end of the day and having a ho hum meal especially on vacation. My teenage/young adult kids now realize that the meals we get at disney are the same ones we get at Outback, or olive garden.
Tony's town square is absolutely a disgrace and should be closed. that's how horrible the food is there and the sad thing about it, every 2nd year sous chef should know how to make a decent marinara sauce.
Sorry, let go of the expectation of getting a great meal. You may luck up and hit a really good meal but I haven't left a restaurant at disney saying "WoW!! that was a great meal" in about 7 years.
Please, simply LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
