SOOOOOOO Excited about my DFW!

My fiance and I are planning a September 10, 2008, wedding, and plan to have a total of 30 guests, including the wedding party. He really wants to have the reception at the Atlantic Dance Hall at the BW, but Diane (our wedding consultant) says that it will be way too large for our reception size. Has anyone out there used this venue for parties of this size or a little bit larger? I would love to hear from someone that has had or is planning their reception at ADH, but also anyone that is using one of the ballroom salons at GF that has a nice dancefloor.

First, Congratualtions on your upcoming wedding!!! Sounds like you are really excited, lol!

ADH is such a gorgeous venue! 30 guests is on the smaller side, but I dont think it is too small as long as you utlize the space wisely! There are several floors, but the first floor seems like it would be perfect!

Good Luck with your decisions, but congrats!!

Congratulations! Wish I could give you thoughts about the ADH but my reception is at the Grand Floridian White Hall Room. We are having 20 guests. Nice area for that size group and a great little patio area.

I am excited for you. We had our reception at the ADH but we did have 100 people. I can say that if you just utilize the dance for it should work out ok. We had a total of 48 people seated on the floor and it filled up nicely. The rest sat on the sides and back. Everyone was either on the dance floor or at the bar the whole time except to eat. I strongly recomend the ADH, it was such a great place and atmosphere. I wouldn't have wanted my reception anywhere else.
