I am having a hard time deciding where to eat. This will be our second trip and we are on the dining plan.

In Sept 2005, we ate at Chef Mickey's (D), Crystal Palace (B), PSB (D), Cindy's Royal Table (B), Restaurantrous (D), and Olivia's (D). We enjoyed every one of them.

Now for our first Christmas/surprise birthday trip for DD5, I have a list and cannot choose. I can only choose 4 places. PLEASE HELP!! I also need to know which place to order a birthday cake for DD.

Ohana's (B) - Missed seeing Lilo in Sept 2005 in the parks.
Liberty Tree Tavern (D) - Dsis just ate here and completely enjoyed it.
Crystal Palace (D) - We all loved the breakfast and Pooh is my favorite.
Coral Reef (D) - DD loves watching fish.
1900 Park Fare Cindy's Gala Feast (D) - This is the only Princess meal.
Toy Story (B) - If this one pans out.

TIA for all suggestions. I know this is very far away, but like many of us on here...I love to plan!

We love CP and LTT. Personally, we eat at Donald's Breakfastosaurus on every trip. It's our favorite breakfast spot. 1900 we haven't eaten at yet (in 1 week we will be!), but I've heard great things about it. I think you're plans sound good for the reasons you chose them. Go for it, and enjoy them! Age wise, I would probably choose Ohana's over Coral Reef if you need to get rid of some choices. Just because of the type of dining experience at both places. So I think I would go with CP, LTT, Ohana's and 1900 if I was choosing for you. And I took out the Toy Story just because who knows if it will be around? I would hate to plan for something that didn't happen in time.

Well, I can't help you cut down your list at all. I'm just going to suggest that IF you end up at 1900 Park Fare that you have the birthday cake there. The Grand Floridian bakery (I hear) makes fabulous cakes, several recent threads have included their offerings. My favorites so far (for a girl) was KIRSTIN'S MOMMY's which had a stand up Cinderella cut-out made of chocolate (flat, like a cookie, but painted on chocolate) or the mini-anniversary cake with the mini-castle on top (again, made of chocolate).

Here is a link to one thread: Click here for Birthday Cake!

ETA: mini-castle cake: Click Here, Post 24

GeorgiaAristocat, thank you for the pics of the cakes. They look wonderful. I hope they have a smaller cake when I call, there is just the three of us.

Sunny04, we liked Donald's too, but we will be going to AK our last day so we were not going to do any sit down meals that day. Is Coral Reef as fancy as it looks online?

Does anyone else have suggestions about which restaurants to choose?

I gave you my suggestions....Coral Reef I think IS fancy. So my suggestion is to go with CP, LTT, Ohana's and 1900. And I would take out the Toy Story just because who knows if it will be around? I would hate to plan for something that didn't happen in time.

I'd definitely do CP and 1900 for dinner. Order the cake for 1900. I'd reserve for Ohana breakfast at the moment. I'd also reserve for LTT dinner. If the Toy Story thing comes to pass, I'd probably think of switching the Ohana Breakfast for it.

For your family I would choose:

Crystal Palace for Breakfast
'Ohana's for Breakfast
Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner
and 1900 Park Fare or Toy Story meal if it's available~

Crystal Palace is our favorite breakfast - both for the yummy food & Tigger & Pooh! :teeth: We also love 'Ohana's and are excited to eat there in Sept with Stitch - the food is also good here - complete with Mickey waffles - & it's a nice change from the other character meals in that they bring you all the food. The characters have always been very active here & spent a lot of time at our table.

Liberty Tree Tavern is on our must-do list every trip! The food, characters & atmosphere of this restaurant are fun. I'd would definitely vote to add this one to your list! :thumbsup2

For your last pick - I think the Toy Story meal would be fun if it comes to be - but, as a back-up I would go with the princess meal at Grand Floridian - especially if your DD likes the princesses. I agree with a previous poster - this would be a great place to order a cake. I believe they also have a good cake to order at Liberty Tree. :)

Hope this helps!! I love the planning stage, too! :teeth:
