Well - after our awesome trip last September for 11 days (staying at the AKL concierge) with a side trip to Universal (Hard Rock), we thought we would not be back at Disney for another three years or so. Our thinking was ,well we'll wait until DS (4) is a little older and can enjoy some of the bigger rides. Well, fate has interevened. DD (10) was invited to perform with a competition dance group. The big trip this year is - guess where - DIsney! WOOHOOO for me! Oops - I mean for her. So - here we go again. Loooks like the trip will be in early April, which I know is a triditionally busy, peak time. Having been to Disney during a busy time only once, when I was 12 (the last 4 times have been in late Sept) - I am a little nervous.

I know you dis-er's can assist. This will be a more budget trip. Any suggestions of where to stay (prior stays include POFQ, CB, and AKL as well as offsite)? willing to try somethign new. the girl's fav park is MGM - so thinking maybe toward that way. How bad are the values? All opinions welcome.

If MGM is your favorite my vote would be for YC/BC/BWI any of those three are fabulous!!
If you want to go a bit more economical- then go for the Swan/Dolphin- they always give great rates.
ENJOY

The values are great. stay there and dont give it a second thought. We've stayed at the ASMovies and at Pop Century. Both were great. Dont be lured "offsite." we'd go back to a disney value before we'd return to the many starred wyndham. Disney just knows how to take care of you.

In our many visits, we have always stayed at the value resorts. (once at moderate, CBR). I am very happy at the values. Each time we start planning, the thought of a different resort comes up. But we always go back to the same theory....we don't spend enough time at the resort to make the cost worth while. JMO

We've never stayed at the values, so I can't comment on that, but we did just get back from a trip to CSR and it was great. And I don't think you can beat the location--very short rides to MGM, Epcot and AK!

Our last trip was our first time in a value resort (POP). Dh was a little leary about staying there, until we got there. We had a great time... and for the money that you save... it's a great resort if you have to do a budget trip. I definitely wouldn't stay off site ever again. We'll go back to a value resort if a moderate or deluxe (which we have yet to do) is not in the budget!

I have to agree - the values are your best bet on a budget! We've stayed at Sports, Music & Pop - enjoyed them all!! You still get the benefits of being on a Disney property and the cost is very reasonable. I love staying at the deluxes, but if I can visit more often by staying at a Value, that's where you'll find me!!
