"Sooner or Later" - movie from 1979

I saw this movie way back when and it's crossed my mind from time to time and I recently bought it on dvd just to see it again (cheap at $5 at walmart).

Anyway, I'm not sure what's weirder... The character age difference of her being 13 and him being 17 or the actor age difference of her being 16 and him being 24. How would characters with this kind of age difference fly these days? What about actors of this age difference doing heavy makeout scenes in a movie?

And, oh my goodness, Rex Smith's hair. What a whole lotta hair he had. I think he had more hair than she did. But is sure is easy to see why he was such a heartthrob back in the day.

I remember loving this movie although I honestly really don't remember it anymore. Anyway, I met my dh when I was 15 and he was almost 19 so that age difference would have been ok for me. I didn't realize he was that old when making the movie. I'd love to see it again.

On another note, Denise Miller and her family lived in Brooklyn (as did I at the time) on the same block as my best friend. I never got to meet her but I remember meeting her brother (I think he was a year or two younger and if I recall his name was Joey).

DH said this movie had enough cheese to supply Domino's for a year. And it does. Which is kind of why I liked it.

I loved that movie!! Loved it!!!! I was 11 in 1979...

I still remember the song- "...I don't know what to say- you take my breath away...." Ok, I remember a few words of the song...

Another Sooner fan. I remember trying to play the song on my dinky plastic guitar. Totally loved when she changed her clothes and ditched school or putting on makeup at the MU counter to look older. I was 9 when it came out.

OMG Little Darlings! My dad took me and my older sister to see that, he thought it would be a good girl's movie. He had no idea! I remember asking my sister what getting laid meant, she said kissing. My dad was so embarrassed.

Lol! My 20 year old daughter knows the words to "I think I Love you" by the Partridge Family since I play it on my iPod all the time!
