Does anyone have this all-in-one computer? It looks interesting, as you can detach the screen and use it like a large tablet. The only thing is it doesn't have an optical drive, and my kids have some computer games on disk they like to play.
I have one. Just got it for myself on Christmas Eve. Just spent all morning running "updates"
It is remarkably heavy. Not particularly usable as a "tablet" unless you workout with free-weights on a regular basis.
There is a story about the inventor of the first cell phone. (They were the size and weight of a brick!) He was asked whether he thought the 20-minute battery life would be a problem. He said "No, because nobody can hold it for that long." <rimshot>
But it is nice to have the built-in battery that is good for 2.5~2.75 hours. You can take it over to the couch and look up things while watching TV, or you can take it in the kitchen to read the recipe or watch the food video, etc.
The only thing is it doesn't have an optical drive, and my kids have some computer games on disk they like to play.
You might be able to copy the contents of the disk onto a USB thumb drive and run it that way. Or rip it right into the internal hard drive which is pretty good size.
