Yes, feature set looks good, at this point. 10.2MP, 2.5" LCD, ISO1600, SuperSteadyShot, Dust Removal, "dials, not buttons", are all desirable features. How well it will compete against the likes of the Pentax *ist series (including the new one with body-integral stabilization), the Nikon D50, and the dRebel, remains to be seen, of course. Mrs. YEKCIM is anxious to see if the Alpha can be connected in some way to her studio strobe setup, and I am curious as to the "guts" of the camera...whether it has a metal chassis, or mainly plastic. My guess is that Sony is going to have to lower the street price or hang an "introductory" rebate on it, in order to make much of a dent in the dslr market. I would think a street price in the $700-800 US range might generate some significant sales.
OT: 4 weeks, 5 days until the YEKCIM Express departs for a week with Mickey. Bet my Finepix S5200 will get a pretty good workout!
