I bought this camera back in Oct 2013 and feel like it is not taking pictures correctly. Pictures are constantly blurry and I've changed the setting many times to see if my kids or myself bumped it. I have had Sony cyber shoots and Cannon S series before and never had an issue with this before. I even owned a nikon D3100 that I sold to have a this smaller camera.

Wondering if anyone else has been having issues with your RX100M2?

Im to the point now, I just use my iPhone camera as handing the Sony to have someone take a photo of our family in Disney and it doesn't work correctly is irritating!

Im thinking about getting another DSLR to replace this camera.

Post some samples. Your camera may be broken. I've never heard of or seen that problem with the rx100.

I wonder if it is the default 1/30 shutter speed? (Great IQ for still life's if you have a steady hand, but it's a slow shutter speed for movement.). S mode with a faster shutter speed might help.

I would also think its the settings the camera is shooting on. What mode are you using? Can you give us a sample of what they look like?

Thank you all for the replies!
I have yet not figured out how to post pictures on the boards! Let me browse through my camera for some pictures. I do have a surprise party to attend today. Ill try and get something posted today

I am usually in the Intelligent auto or in the sports with the kids

Try a factory reset to get the camera back into default settings. If it was working the way you liked out of the box, this should get you back. If not, it might be the camera. Definitely check the settings. But, posting a pic here will help us diagnose what the issue is.

You upload to a photo sharing site and post the link here.

That would be it... I changes to S mode to keep shutter speed more in the 1/60 (Wide end of zoom)-1/100 (tele end of zoom) range

DSC00552_opt.jpg Here are a few pictures that hopefully show what my issue is, about 70% of my pictures look blurry.

You need to really post the EXIF data to get a better idea. From first impressions, those are all low light shots without flash. Camera may have compensated with very low shutter speed, leading to some camera shake. With the running dog, it's definitely motion blur -- too slow of a shutter speed. For the low light shots, I'd like to know what ISO, aperture and shutter speed the camera was selecting. You needed higher shutter speed -- was the camera making the most of the ISO? Have you somehow accidentally changed the camera settings to limit the upper ISO bracket?
Of course, when indoors and light is simply too low, you have no choice but to resort to a flash.
Then to some degree, you may simply be missing focus -- The cupcakes shot looks like you might simply be unhappy with the spot the camera focused on. Hard to tell in such a small shot.
It would be helpful if you posted the full size images with EXIF data available. Easiest to do this on flickr.

Ok Ill try Flicker I had a hard time posting it keep saying more file was too big and then after I posted the pics think it auto corrected as they don't look as blurry, I have others of stand still shots Ill post from flicker.
