So I tried to post a variety, dark ride, low light, etc. Dark rides were taken with iso 6400, zoomed out (then cropped later), shutter priority mode. Night time pics, in hand held twilight mode. Most of the regular daytime pics, in superior auto.
I cleaned up exposure and cropping with snap sort, but no major adjustments.

This is the type of shot that people were drooling over getting with their DSLR's just 4 or so years ago. Nicely done!

Those PoTC shots definitely blow away my HX30 PnS!
And the crush shot (from Nemo?) is amazing (the few I tried were blurs)

So are you shooting jpeg, or did you get the Lightroom beta?

Shooting jpg. Took me a while to figure out best dark ride settings. Didn't get much useful out if Winnie the Pooh or Pan, partially because the ride vehicle is too jerky.

Tonight I got a few great pics of Illuminations with a gorilla pod. Will post after I upload in the next couple of days.

Great pics as always Havoc315!!! I can't wait to experiment or attempt too when I am there at the end of the month! I'm glad you posted the pic of Jack at the end of PotC I wanted to try that one myself!

Take a look at my exif data. I quickly learned you can't get a good dark ride shot without 1.8 aperture. Which you will only get if you're zoomed all the way out. So instead of zooming, you need to just crop in post processing. Also gives you the freedom to worry less about shot composition till later on.

There are times I would have liked the zoom on your hx30. But I'm finding the rx100 -- when set correctly-- is amazing in low light. Amazed at the pics I got in Great Movie Ride, Spaceship Earth, and Journey Into Imagination.
