Sons first birthday at Disney!! WDW

I was wondering if the park or resort we are staying at will don anything for my sons first birthday since he (we) will be celebrating it while we are there. Thanks for any advice everyone!!!

Restaurants may if you include the birthday on your dining reservations. Some places may do a cupcake or decorate the table, but it's not a given. Resorts, maybe. AKL didn't do anything for DD's birthday in Nov.

Mike is an awesome barber. My husband gets his haircut on Main St. each time we are at Disney.

Tell everyone you talk to that it's to celebrate his birthday. ADR's Room ressie every cast member you talk you tell them you are celebtrating his 1st birthday. I've noticed the more excited you are about it they will be as well. Also, when you get to disney, go to city hall and get a happy birthday button for him. You can always order something and have it sent to the room before you get there for him. As far as the hair cut goes, I was talking to my hair dresser the other day who is just as disney crazed as I am, and is who got me started on the disboards, but she said when they took there little man for his first hair cut, a photopass photographer was there and photographed the ENTIRE THING!!! I think it was just coinscidence, but she said he over heard them saying it was his first haircut and he said would you like me to take pictures? Enjoy your trip, it will be so much fun and make so many memories!!!

If you are staying onsite, call the reservation line and have them put in your information that you are celebrating a birthday. Follow up with that information at check in. A few years ago we went over DS11's birthday and we told the front desk and that night we had a balloon and a birthday card from Mickey waiting in our room. In fact, I told the desk that my other DS was being treated to the trip for his birthday, but it had been in January. They left a balloon and a card from Mickey for him, too.!
