Does anyone have any suggestions for dinner for a 6YO Boy's Birthday? What restaurant should we go to?

There are a lot of great choices! How about Chef Mickey's to meet the whole gang? Possible O'Hana for the games then watch fireworks from the beach, or Whispering Canyon Cafe for pony races and crazy antics.

You could also do Hoop De Doo review at Ft. Wilderness, and if you go to the early dinner show you might be able to catch the Chip N Dale campfire with smores afterwards.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure your son will have a great time! I can't think of a better place to celebrate your birthday!

We were there at exactly this time last year to celebrate one my son's 6th birthday (his b'day is the 17th). Everywhere we ate that week I had noted the birthday celebration and he got a cupcake. On the actual day, we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's then went to MK and surprised him with an appointment at the Pirate's League. He loved it!

Other places he liked were the Garden Grill at Epcot, characters are there and he was fascinated by the rotation of the restaurant. He loooves T-Rex Cafe at Downtown Disney as well. Because he is so into pirates, I ordered the treasure chest pirate cake (I think it was about $12) and he still talks about that.

Happy planning!

I havent been to WDW yet (jan 2011) but we took my son who turned 7 to TREX cafe in DTD and he LOVED it! They also have a build-a-dino (like build-a-bear) and he did that as well. We told the staff it was his birthday and they came out and sang to him and gave him an ice cream sundae with a chocolate chip cookie. I thought the food was good too!

Trex cafe was such a big hit that I made ADR for our upcoming trip.

The atmosphere is great! Especially for a dinosaur lover like my son. Also there is a LEGO store next door if your son is into LEGOs, he could find most anything there and its only about 20 steps away.

Have fun!!

Crystal Palace or Ohana would be good choices, both have entertainment and amazing food!

Hi! My 2 oldest sons have the same B-Day. We are celebrating their 12th and 5th B-Day at T-Rex-it was a unanimous decision. It's a great restaurant, the food is good and portions are large. We don't have anything like this at home-we don't have Rainforest Cafe either-so this is a real treat for them!

I hope he has a great B-Day!

Thank for all the suggestions. We did T Rex at 4th of July and Build a Dino. I hadn't thought of the Pirate League so we will probably do that. Still don't know where we will eat but I'm working on it. Only 3 months to plan :scared:

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. We took my nephew there for his 6th bday and it was a HUGE hit. We loved the food (breakfast/brunch time), the characters, napkin waving, nephew danced with Donald, monorail running overhead, very memorable and fun time.

I had noted the bday in the ressie and we had a first night dinner at Narcoossee's. We were seated and given menus, much to our shock the menu had been personalized with a birthday wish for my nephew, sweet. He wanted to know how that happened and it was so fun to tell him "Disney magic" on his first night ever at WDW.
