I love Sonic too, but they're fairly expensive (not that other places aren't!). They have two deals that're worth knowing about:

1. All of their drinks (including the Slushies, Smoothies, and Limeaids) are half price every afternoon from 2:00-4:00.

2. Every Tuesday burgers are five for $5 after 5:00.

We were on our way home from Academy Sports a little while ago and the hubby asked if I'd like an ice cream from Sonic. Well of course I would! I got a vanilla shake and he got a banana split.

I love Sonic. The strawberry fruit slush is my favorite.

If tipping is expected, then they need to add a tip line to the credit card receipt. I never carry cash and use my card there.

Agreed. I never have cash and I like to eat at Sonic not at the drive thru. I never feel bad though because no one tips at our Sonic. I have friends who worked there in college and they said they never got tipped. They don't really expect it here at ours. They're not really seen as waiters, its just another fast food restaurant.

I'm not crazy about any of their slushes, especially the cherry limeade, but I LOVE their hot fudge shake!!!!!

Weird....our Sonic is super cheap! It's one of the reasons we love it!

In the summer we live on their Route 44 Fresh Lime Slushes. Be sure to say Fresh Lime or you get the green stuff.

I think tuesdays are happy hours where you can buy one drink get another at half off or free... check it out.

I mentioned to Ashley, my DD that some of you are just now getting them and some don't have them close by. She was surprised. We are blessed with 4 in our city. One is about 5 minutes from our house. For us to be a small city, we have quite a selection of places to eat-everything from Sonic to Sushi. Now, if only we could get a Red Lobster. But, since we are also a dry county, that may take a while.

I have 3 Sonic's within 2 miles of my house.
7 days a week from 2-4 I get a large iced tea w/ lemon and a small cup of ice. I love their ice and they charge here for all ice cups except for small.
My recycling bin gets full of just Sonic cups. On Wed-Friday I take the girls after school as well.
I LOVE Sonic!!
Just thought of this. Does anyone remember the plastic animals they used to put on the side of the drinks? They were so fun!

I go to school in the birthplace of Sonic - where there are probably a good 3x as many Sonic's as Starbucks'. My favorite things are caramel java chillers, butterfinger-oreo blasts (some places will combine them without making you pay more!), and chicken club and grilled chicken sandwiches. Oh, and I always get the strawberry limeade with no ice (so you get more beverage).

I'm from CA, and the nearest Sonic there is like 5 hrs from my house, so I love being at school for the wealth of them (there's one basically right next to the back of campus). Even when I lived in VA for a summer, I had to make a special trip of them, because there was only 1 within about 15 mins of me.

I do wish it was cheaper though. But I suppose the expense saves me from being super unhealthy.

Sonic is the best! My mom wanted to go for her birthday so we drove 2 hours to Pittsburgh. I am so happy that they now opened one only 45 minutes from us.
