I was just checking if anyone had posted this one already. One of the best eleven o'clock songs in musical theatre
(Is it weird to have an eleven o'clock number about midnight? )

The description “Eleven O’Clock Number” has stuck even though those have been 10:15 to 10:30ish songs for probably 50 years now.

Evening Broadway shows used to start at 8:30 or 8:45pm. The Big Song came about 11pm.

Most shows today start at 8pm.
Some shows start at 7pm for certain performances.

Hmm, that reminds me, there's this song. It doesn't say the word midnight, but does say twelve o'clock.
