Remembering Time

Like it was yesterday, I remember my first evening in basic training, I started to sing this song, for myself and guys started to come into our room. Basic training men, some with tears in their eyes joined in. It was an experience I will never forget. Stuff like that does happen, very rarely, in real life and not just movies.

Another one that is more significant now that I am older and have lost most of my youthful memory connections. It's something, the feeling, that cannot be expressed so much in words, but I think happens to all of us fortunate enough to live into old age.
