I have'nt seen this film since i was a small child,my DD's have never seen it. I'll be setting the video as i shall be at work

Earning all my $$$$$ for our holiday

Am i right in thinking that one of the Attractions at MK is based on this film?

Yes, I read somewhere of a connection between SOTS and SM. Will definitely be watching now as it could add to the enjoyment of the ride to know what exactly is based on what. Video at the ready!!!

Saw this at the cinema as a child in the mid-sixties - Splash Mountain is based on the cartoon sections of the movie - altogether now....zippa-de-doo-dah, zippa-de-deh.........

Haven't seen the film for years but isn't the connection Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, Brer Bear etc?

As far as I remember it's about an old plantation worker who tells the Brer Rabbit stories to a couple of kids who come to live on the plantation. The stories are in cartoon form while the rest is live action. I'm sure there is more to it than that but I only saw it once as a child in the sixties.

Bournemouth is sweltering at the moment isn't it - enjoying the the nightly walk down on Southbourne beach!
