Just to let you know, Song Of the south is on this Sunday at 10.00 on BBC2!

Will set my Dvd player in the morning else i'll forget!

Have always loved this film, really sad that Bobby Driscoll who plays Johnny, the little boy in the film, and who also was in So Dear To My Heart, struggled with drink and drugs throughout his life and died alone in a run down appartment in NYC at a young age and was buried in Potters field in NYC.Very Sad.

Think he was Disneys first young actor to star in a live film.

Anyhow, enjoy the movie.

Just finished watching it and have it copied to DVD for future reference.

Hopefully it will soon be released by Disney in the UK (rumour has it that it will be) so I can get the official version. It may be more difficult for the Americans to get a copy, but there is a strong petition taking place in the States and the latest I heard is that Disney may be relenting and MAY release over there at some time.

For those of you who may have missed it, the BBC has the rights to show this and will probably be doing so at some time again (though you'll have to wait a couple of years!).

I've just got to copy it to dvd as well. We had it on but couldn't really watch it what with looking after ds! Maybe tonight when Joshua has gone to bed. I have the official version on video and before we got rid of the video player (which was years ago!) I could have really copied it onto dvd then. The video version is in the loft along with all the other Disney videos and god knows how many other films etc which are no longer any use to us. Feel an Ebay day coming on! Lol.

It is always nice isn't it to have the official versions. Would be great also if they put any extras on or release a 2 disc version.
