I just checked and Song has changed my morning departure time, YET AGAIN.... granted its only 10 mins, but they never let me know either, I just look to check out how the prices vary from day to day to see how much I saved..

Oh yeah, and they also wiped out our seat assignments again(so wife is on the phone with them now trying to get our seats back)

Got a call from our travel agent on Friday afternoon. Song/Delta had eliminated our November 18th late afternoon flight out of Hartford.

New departure time: 9 p.m. with an arrival time of close to midnight!!!

Now I am rescheduled for a 1:50 flight with arrival of around 4:30 p.m. I really wanted the early flight the next day but it was booked.

Not happy at all since it means DSs will miss the afternoon of school on Friday.

Are you now leaving at 6:50 a.m.???

Hi penny! Same thing is happening to us. We booked a friday night flight out of hartford on the 6 something flight thinking we would get in around 8:30 and be able to get to the hotel at a reasonable time. Now i check to see how many seats are left and notice it leaves at 8:55 instead and not getting in until midnight. For us taking the earlier flight is out of the question because my sister is a teacher. Will delta offer you anything else for the inconvience?

Airlines set their flight schedules only a few months prior to the flight, so when you book your flights earlier than that, on the airlines that allow you to do so, you're booking against a projected schedule, not an actual schedule. Changes are to be expected, and such changes often result in consolidation of flights, change of equipment and other perturbances that airline reservations systems use as prompts to clear seat assignments.

It is not likely that this will change, at least not in the direction you may wish. Rather, the newer airlines seem to be moving to a system where they won't even allow you to book your flights so early, forcing you to wait for just a few months before your trip before booking. At that time, you'd be booking against an actual schedule, so you can be assured that your flights won't change and your seat assignments will more more likely to "stick".

I just finished booking our October flights with Song and I hope I don't regret it!! We've always flown SW and last time we flew Jet Blue and loved them but they didn't have the right flights for us this time at the $59 fare so I decided to try Song. I noticed thay've already changed our departure time once in the last week by 30 minutes prior to me booking but it sounds like they're changing numerous flight times...guess I have to make sure I watch our flights for changes and make sure they don't wipe out our seat selections!!

this is my second time using song, and 3rd using delta(song is delta). this is the first time they have changed times, never mind chaning them multiple times, and each time losing our seats and having to call back to get them.
:faint:

The 11/19 flight @6:50 AM is not sold out. There are at least 20 - 30 seats available. You may want to contact Delta directly to change. It sounds like your TA is getting shut out of the flight or just not pushing hard enough.
If they changed your 3:00 PM to 8:56 PM on 11/18, I'm sure they won't have a problem with the change to 11/19 @ 6:50AM. Be persistent!!
