Hi,
We are booked on Song Airline from Boston to Orlando, I was wondering if anyone could comment on what they thought about the airlines, seats, etc.

We've flown Song from Boston to Orlando several times.

The airplanes are newly refurbished and are nice and clean. All the seats are leather. Leg room and such are the same as your typical coach class seat.

The Song Talent (as they call their staff) we've encountered have all been very friendly and helpful. They seem to try to make the flight a fun time for everyone-- for example, with amusing anouncements like making train sounds when the airplane started down the runway.

Also, they're supposed to be finishing up installing individual television screens at every seat. You'll get to watch shows, play games or listen to music.

You can buy food on board, which we've done, and it's remarkably good.

Song is my favorite airline to travel to Orlando!

hey there. We just flew song for our February trip. It was grest in both planes there were individual screens on the seats in front of you with 25 channels from tlc to cartoon net. It was great. There is also on extensive menu of snack and light meal choice but its a little pricey, (2.00 for the small can of pringles) Coke products are still free and everyone ids offered new headphones and a blanket.

We loved Song, and will use them again in August. The prices are good, the flight times are great, and the service is good.

Song is also our favorite airline!

When we flew Song we were given the most bizarre safety demonstration (ya know, the one no one pays attention to)

"...if your flight suddenly turns into a cruise, your seat cushions double as flotation devices"

"....if caught smoking, you will recive a special escort from the plane upon landing and given a $5000.00 bill. And if you wanted to pay that much for a seat you should have flown American."

I wish I could remember more but it just went on and on like a stand up routine. It was the first safety demo that I have seen get an applause from the passengers.

Just a side note... as we were watching people get off our plane that we were about to board, they were very unhappy, some saying they would never fly Song again. I mean, these people were really upset. Our flight was on time so I can't think of what made them so upset. Alls I remember thinking was great, what the heck am I in for???

It turned out to be the best flight my family has ever taken!!!

We have flown Song twice now out of Boston. Once in Aug of 03 and once in Jan of 04. We are booked to fly them for our upcoming May 04 trip also.

The seats are leather and seemed softer then a regular seat. I cannot comment on leg room as we always book exit row seats and therefore have nothing to compare.

All of our flights, four total, took off on time and landed early. So so far no complaints.

We flew Song to Orlando from Hartford, CT in Feb. and both of our flights were great. TV at each seat w/ 25 channels. A menu with many selections, the Fruit and Cheese basket was very good ($4.00) soda was free a "moderate sized" bottle of wine was $5.00.

Flights left on time and arrived early both times. Seats were Ok. We were in an exit row (16). The arm rest betwen the seats do not move in the exit rows and the seats do not recline.. Leg room is better but seats are a little "snug' especally for a larger person.

I would fly Song again. Good price, good entertainment, and an excellent airline.

Flew them in Jan and have tickets for Sept. Both flights left on time and landed early. I liked the way the "talent" treated us which was nice but not intrusive.

We were in row 3 for both flights, but for some reason the seat I had on the trip down was tiny (I am Pooh-size!), but on the plane back I fit fine (and ya know I didn't lose weight at WDW!!!!). Isn't that weird?

Anyway - you'll be pleased with them. Have a great trip!

Good to see you again. Are you going the same time we are again?? Flying Song again also.

We love Song. Wanted to try JetBlue in November but they don't book far enough ahead for us. And I have found the prices to be pretty much the same. Loved our flight staff. When we traveled at Christmas time, they had a whole Christmas speil going. It was hysterical. Love everything about Song. Using them in August and again in November.

Has anyone been able to get a reduced child fare for a 1 year old on Song? I know I did this a while back when my daughter was 1 on Delta. I had to call and say that I wanted to buy her a seat rather than on my lap and I was able to get her seat at a cheaper price. Now my son will be 1 in November when we fly and I was wondering about this. I was hoping to book our 3 seats(husband,me, and daughter)online and then call and ask about getting my 1 yr old a seat. Has anyone done this? Any advice?

Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kmygrl73 --

I got an infant fare for my 18 month old son for May on Song. You might just check the cost online and then call and try to get all the seats at the same time. I did that and the price was exactly the same on the phone as it was online (other than the cheaper infant fare).
