We are flying(family of 4) to Orlando in Feb 2006 for DCL. I noticed that Song releases tickets prices up to 331 days in advance. What time of day do they release the next day out. Midnight? They have the 22nd of Feb 2006 available and I want the 24th so I can buy them on Wednesday of this week. The 22nd is already selling at $154! I am hoping to get the $89 fares so I want to get them the minute they are released. Any advice?

dkiddis--there is a pretty long thread over on the Trans Board about this, but here is the synopsis:

It seems that Song rolls into it's next day's tickets at 3:01am. I happen to know this from personal experience, as I was up last Saturday night into Sunday doing server maintenance for work, and happend to purchase our tickets from BOS-MCO for Feb 14th of next year.

It also seems that Delta.com has 'some' Song flights available just after midnight.

DH will be doing the return flight shuffle for us, since we will be flying back home either Saturday or Sunday (25th or 16th). But, DH gets up for work at 2:45am, so he will take care of this, before he has his breakfast.

Good Luck!!!!!

edited to add link to thread on trans board:

Song 331 day thread

Thanks. I will try at midnight. If I cant get anything I will try 6am when I get up for work. It is the last day of Feb vacation so getting a flight down may not be as bad as for people booking the first half of the week. The moderator can move this to the transportation board.

Tonight is the night for tickets on Feb 24th 2006. I just checked the price for Thursday tickets (9am EST) and they are also at $154 for all travel times. Are the $89 fares selling out in 9 hours or are the setting the floor at $154 as they know it is President's week?

I've always had better luck getting lower prices on Song closer to my travel dates. If you are traveling over a holiday there is a good chance that rates wont be low.......

I've also had good luck getting rates closer to my dates. I'm going down the week before Memorial Day and 3 weeks ago I got $49.00 each way from CT. Only cost me $116 with tax for direct flight!!!

Yeah, maybe it's just CT. We flew down last Sept for that price. Gotta love the direct flight from BDL to MCO!!!

I've got to tell you that I'm so jealous listening to all of you talk about $89 & 149 RT tickets.

We fly out of CVG (Cincinnati) and it's ALWAYS more expensive - though it has gotten better with Delta's SimpleFare.

Hey, I'm happy with a $250 RT ticket! :rotfl: :rotfl:

YOu might be better off waiting till it gets a little bit closer, because they have sales all the time, you just need to check every single day a couple times a day, that is what i do, we got fares on song for 1 month from now, for 59.00 each way from jfk in NY to orlando

Well I was up until 12:00 and tried getting Song quotes through Delta.com. The 8:20 and 11:00 AMs were $154! one way. I set the alarm for 2:55AM and Song had the same price. I will wait for a possible drop as most people would be flying home on the 24th not down, but I will try in a few months for JetBlue and Southwest.
