Son broke iPod touch, bought a used one, a few Q's.....

What do we need to do to register it in his name? I changed all of the email addresses and it has been stored to factory settings. Anything else? How do we transfer all of the old data to this one? I downloaded the new iTunes 11 last night on my new windows 8 laptop that I can't figure out! Anyway, I can't even figure out how to login to iTunes...

Sorry that happened to your son. Apple will be happy to help you with this. Call them at 800-692-7753

If you used the cloud backup on the Ipod you can simply restore the new using the backup from the old one. It will set the new one up exactly like the broken one. I had to do this several times as my wife and daughter keep losing/breaking theirs.

We did use iCloud backup. I can't seem to find where to even log in to iTunes now. I have not logged in since I got a new laptop, it's windows 8, if that matters. I downloaded iTunes last night, but I can't find where to login!

I can't help, but I can say that I hate the new itunes layout. What a pain the the rear!!

The new iTunes layout is no different than the old, it just hides the sidebar and menu.

To get the menu, click the small box with the arrow on the upper left and choose "show menu bar".

Then, on the menu bar, select "view" and "show sidebar".

TaDa! iTunes should now look old school.
