We are renting a vacation home in Indian Ridge for our upcoming trip. Unfortunately, internet access is not provided. Not normally something I would care about while on vacation but my daughter will be taking a couple of online college classes that she will need to log onto a couple of times while we're there. We won't have a laptop so it will need to be some place with actual computers, not just internet. Any suggestions?

Anybody? Anybody? Buhler?...Buhler?...:confused3

There's an internet cafe in the Formosa Gardens shopping area. I haven't used it but noticed it when we were there in March. I think its along where the Dairy Queen is. From Indian Ridge it would just be up Sand Hill Road ( Formosa Gardens Blvd ) and turn left into where Outback Steakhouse is and it's up toward the front section that borders on 192.

There is a library at Cagan Town Center on Hwy27. It is across from the Walmart at Cagans Crossing. My daugther did her 24hr airline ticket checkin there.

I've heard there are computers available at the library near Summer Bay Resort on 192, though I've never looked for them. You could probably Google the library and find all the branches.

There are free public access computers in several libraries in that area.

The library that's in the same strip mall as the Publix near Orange Lake Country Club and Resort has at least 8 of them. There's rarely much of a wait but you are limited to 30 minutes at a time, up to twice per day. The system locks you at at precisely 30 minutes so be sure to save whatever you need onto a flash drive if doing school work.

There's another small library branch just off Rte 192 not far from the Celebration watertower. From 192, turn into Blake Blvd, as if you were going to Joe's Crab Shack Restaurant, but look left, at the shops along that strip. There's a tiny storefront library with 4-5 computers. This one almost always has a long wait to use a PC because they let you use it for 60 minutes at a time, up to twice per day. If no one is waiting (rare - maybe EARLY in the AM), you can stay on longer. They just tell you when it's time to let the next person, so you have a chance to save your work.

The other counties in the area don't have free computer access, they charge a weekly or annual fee and they still limit usage to 30 or 60 minutes per session.

We're spoiled by our stays at Wyndham (previously Fairfield) timeshares. Most have at least one computer near the office for registered guests to use for free - we just sign up for a time slot and show up. HTH!

I'm looking for this information, too!

I know that most of the Disney deluxe hotels & some of the moderates have business centers where you can use a computer, but we are talking seriously pricey. I have heard that the Hilton at Downtown Disney has a CyberCafe with much better rates.

I know that Disney Quest used to have a free CyberCafe, not sure if they still do. But, the waits were long and the keyboards were weird (plus you need Disney Quest admission.)

Thanks for the replies! I'll make note of all the locations mentioned! :thumbsup2

Unless they've added more in the last year or so, this is pretty hopeless. I've waited for hours and never seen one of the computers released. The one time I thought I'd finally found one, it didn't work.
