Somewhere quiet for a phone call in the MK?

One that hasn't been mentioned yet is "Center Street" - the cute little dead end alley off of main street (next to the jewelry shop). My group went back there for photos last weekend and it was very quiet and peaceful. There are several benches and a couple little cafe-style table/chair sets. There are even payphones back there, so the area was designed with phone calls in mind.

Completely agree with this suggestion. During Christmas week this past December my family took ice cream back to the benches near the payphones and were completely alone for the 30 minutes or so we sat there.

Gaston doesn't meet by the bathrooms though. There is a small courtyard, for lack of a better term, through a doorway, before you get to the bathrooms. There is also a door there to go backstage. When you sit back there for 10 to 15 minutes, you will see many cast members going in and out.
I think I know where you are talking about because we were waiting for my Grandmother to come out of the restrooms and Gaston turned the corner, I wasn't expecting him because we were hidden off to the side, and I jumped back and said "Oh, I'm sorry!" And he loudly responded "You should be! You almost got in my way!" So if you had to take a call there, I would recommend making sure Gaston wasn't due soon.

OP, I'm glad you will get to skip the call. I had to listen in on a conference call for 2 hours on our drive to Disney but I'm glad it was over by the time we got there. One other suggestion for anyone else looking is a single stall "family" bathroom with a closing door. They have these throughout the park. I don't know that I would hold it up for an extended period of time but if you needed a quick quiet spot that might be an option.

With apologies for resurrecting an old thread... does anyone know whether there's good enough wi-fi or cellular service at the Magic Kingdom to participate in a video conference call?
I was able to extend my vacation by a couple of days, as long as I could be on this one call.

I know this sounds like it will be a recipe for disaster. I guess my alternatives would be to either head back to my resort, or maybe try sitting in the lobby of the Contemporary? It will be less important for me to be on camera, but I will need to be able to see the presentation that the people are giving.

I think the contemporary lobby is loud and echos. Go to your hotel room. A few weeks ago at Disney we had very spotty service with Verizon. We didn't use to have poor service at Disney but as of lately it is like the reception has gotten worse.

Three nights ago we sat in front of the castle and Face-timed with our family right before the fireworks with little to no lag. My only hesitation in recommending this is that it was nearly impossible to hear them because of the background noise...unless you had a pair of earbuds. Depending on how forgiving the group you have to conference with is, the hotel lobby may be your best bet. The Grand Floridian has a lot of quiet nooks and crannies on the upper floors that may work for you too. Have fun on your trip!!!

@NinaBella and @Tiffany_m15, thanks for the tips. I will try to stake out the Floridian and if that doesn't work, hop on a bus back to my resort. Or maybe ask the hotel if they have a business center or empty conference room I can borrow.

I was almost tempted to just jump on the video call in front of the castle and have it in view with Mickey ears on my head... but the client might not appreciate that :)
