I really get why ther is a higher divorce rate in families of kids with special needs....my stress rate is sky high right now. I am sick of illness and meltdowns and a husband who saysnsomething like "let me know when the house is clean, because I'm not coming home until it is." I homeschool 4 teens, 3 of whom have differing levels of special needs, I drop things and run errands for him when he asks, I handle all the bill pay for the household, he hasn't washed a clothing item in 18 years.......yeah the house gets away from me sometimes, I admit it, but today nearly did me in!

Relax, and keep your focus on what is important and do not let others inabilites to do the same get to you, even when it is your significant other.

I'm sorry---you have a lot on your plate. The first time my dh complained about my housekeeping, I'd hand him a broom and mop, and window cleaner, and kitchen cleaner, and the toilet bowl scrubber, LOL!!!

Maybe when things are calmer, you guys can sit down, and figure out what's a priority, what can slide, and who is going to do what, to accomplish those goals.

I can't imagine homeschooling 4 kids, and being able to do much else other than preparing meals and laundry. My house would look like a natural disaster had swept through!!

My husband can be the same way. It used to get me stressed out and agrivate me but then one day I came to the realization that I was not going to change him. From then on I made myself not be affected by his inconsiderate comments. I told myself I am not going to get aggrivated and stressed out by him and when he says stupid things, it goes in one ear and out the other (literally).
