Enjoying your TR and photos so far!

It's so nice when the characters get down to the kids' level--otherwise, they can seem big and scary. We found that Pluto did this the most of the Fab 5.

MK looks so quiet and inviting. :goodvibes Of our 2 boys, one is in elementary school and had perfect attendance last year--he was really proud of that! Otherwise, it would be so tempting to go to the World in September!

Your LTT lunch looks soooo yummy! That is one that I always make an ADR for but we never end up going to it. :sad2:

Wow your lunch looks good, but geeze those sandwiches look huge! :scared1:

Aw, I love that pic of all 4 you! :)

Haha, I know the George story but I was too chicken to do it when we were on the ride. :rotfl:

Somebody fill me in on the George story :confused3 - I haven't heard this one yet. It sounds spooky and I LOVE spooky!

I bet he loved meeting Handy Manny. I usually dont care much for DHS but this time Playhouse Disney is at the top of my To Do list.

I find that if someone smiles at Lizzie or makes a comment to her thats is when she stares them down. I think they are just learning so much right now & realizing that there is so many different people everywhere. She is just trying to soak up all these new things.

No PTR yet. I will probably start one the beginning of January. My best friend has just joined the DIS so we are going to do a joint one.

How did Landon do on the plane? Lizzie is taking her 1st plane ride in October and I am so nervous. She hates being in a carseat for more than an hour so we cant drive.

Somehow I totally missed your reply last time!! I think we must've posted at the same time or something!!

Anyway, we ended up not doing Playhouse Disney Live on Stage! It was like the last thing we were going to do and Landon was napping. We didn't really want to wait around in the heat for him to wake up, ya know? But we did meet Manny and it was great!!

I think its amazing at how much babies their age can absorb stuff!! It really blows my mind, you can tell they are just soaking everything in!!

Landon did great on the plane. His trip to Florida was actually his 3rd plane ride. We've gone to Atlanta and back before and he did MUCH better on those rides than on the ones to Orlando and back. But I think thats because for Atlanta, it was during his bedtime or nap time, but he was pretty wide awake on both the ones to Disney World and didn't like having to sit in our laps and have to be in that cramped space, ya know? They say to give babies a bottle for their ears and stuff, but Landon wouldn't ever take one. Just make sure you have enough water and stuff so you don't have to get up if you need to mix some formula. Its a pain. Also, have stuff to keep them entertained. Of course, you can be like my mom who told me she would just give my brother and I medicine so we slept on the plane! :scared1:

But I will definitely keep an eye out for your ptr!! A joint one sounds fun!

Very cute pictures again!

Not you've got me wondering.....did the ride break on it's own or did George shut down the ride 'cause you don't believe in him? Hum?

Looking forward to your "hightlight".

I know!! I should've asked if the ride had broken down earlier and thats why the line was so long or if that was the first time!! We were stuck a LONG time!

Great update Landon is so cute!

Thanks!

Wow! Great update!

I'm amazed at how EMPTY the streets look in your pictures. Totally jealous! When we went in March (spring break), you couldn't move on Main Street.

Glad you got to experience Disney like that. It's really the best way! :thumbsup2 It was that way our first trip in Nov. 2006, so I have experienced it non-crowded once and it was soooo nice. I definitely recommend it. ;)

Editing to add a pic from DHS in March. I was looking for a crowd picture, but apparantly, I didn't take one last time. Here's the Hat, so it gives you an idea of how many people were around, though.

disney2009212.jpg

Oh my goodness!! Thats crazy!! It was definitely NOT like that at all when we went!! I think the only time we saw a crowd like that was when everyone was herded together before rope drop! LOL I guess going when everyone is in school really pays off!

Thank you!! Its definitely great when the characters get down like that! Luckily, Landon is little enough that I usually hold him and he's at their level!

Congrats on your boys perfect attendance!! Thats awesome!! Definitely don't take them out now while they enjoy it!! Just wait until high school and fake illnesses and all that...

Oh you should go!! It was very good!! I think the only reason we didn't skip it was because it was our first day on the deluxe...we started skipping more later!

Heck yeah I listen to country! Ooooh I love Jason Aldean. :lovestruc

Oh I love him too!! I saw him in concert...yum! :lovestruc

Thanks!! All the servings were so huge! None of us finished!!

We got some great family pics, especially with photopass. I finally got the cd so that'll be my next post!!

Ahh George. I can't help but wonder if it was just coincidence or not! I may have to do it one more time just to see...and if it breaks down again, then I'll be a believer!!

Somebody fill me in on the George story :confused3 - I haven't heard this one yet. It sounds spooky and I LOVE spooky!

I'm sure if you search you can find a more detailed story about it, but as far as I know, George is a CM who died while building POTC and he kinda "haunts" the ride. The CMs working it are supposed to say "Good Night, George" every night or the ride breaks down a lot the next day. And if you say "I don't believe in George" 3 times in the pirate fight scene, the ride will break down.

Thats it as I remember off the top of my head!

I'll just post the ones that catch PhotoPass pics up to the rest of my report!!

This is supposed to be the balloon pic! I can't believe I didn't notice they didn't put the balloons in!!

Just like Vallie, I've always wanted one of these pics!
Image011.jpg

(I actually took a TON of these this trip!)

Thanks for posting me on George. I may do some online research and see what else I can find out about him.

Your photo pass pictures are great! Love the one of you jumping up in front of the castle. Too bad the balloon picture didn't turn out. That would have been soooo cute!

Yeah, George is pretty interesting!! I forgot to mention that I asked one of the CMs how George was when we got off and she said fine. lol and if you find stuff about him, you'll see that the CMs working POTC know what you're talking about if you talk about George!

And thanks!! I'm posting another update now!

After our little break in the baby station, we headed right back down Main Street to….

HARMONY BARBER SHOP!!
Today was the day for Landon’s first haircut!!
For those of you who have never been in here, it’s a small little barbershop and has 2 chairs and a cash register. When we went in, there was an older guy getting his haircut. We didn’t have to wait at all.

The lady doing the cut put a whole bunch of stickers on Landon. I don’t know if she was just trying to get him to warm up to her or what…but she did. Lol.
P1020995.jpg

Look how long his hair was!!

Then she wrapped the thing around his neck!
P1020996.jpg

And then…snip, snip!
P1020998.jpg

P1030006.jpg

In this one, see that Sorcerer Mickey thing? Its hat spun around and it lit up and stuff and she gave me that so I could keep his attention so he wouldn’t try to look at her and see what she was doing while she was cutting!

Shaving around his ears and side burns!
P1030014.jpg

What a big boy!!

Included with the price of $14, was this:
P1030016.jpg

We also got a lock of hair and he got a certificate, some stickers and I think that’s it.

P1030017.jpg

P1030021.jpg

Thank you, Janet from the Bahamas for my little bear’s first hair cut!!

P1030022.jpg

So handsome! (I wish I had gotten a before and after pic here, but all I got was the after!)

Then we went back up by the castle. I took a pic with this statue.
P1030024.jpg

Then I saw a Photo Pass guy. These are some of my favorite Photo Pass pics from the whole trip!
Image039.jpg

Image043.jpg

Image045.jpg

And please note: those “crowds” are waiting for the castle show to start!!

Now that my son looks simply adorable, we decide to head over to Adventureland! We’re all pretty hot, so we stop and get…DOLE WHIPS!!
P1030028.jpg

I got the float, my mom got a normal Dole Whip and I think my dad got the kind swirled with vanilla. We all liked it! Even Landon liked it!
P1030029.jpg

Well…once he got used to it, he liked it!

Next we were going to go on the Jungle Cruise…but the ride wasn’t running. So we decided to just carry on. Landon was being a silly boy in his stroller!
P1030036.jpg

Then we saw Aladdin, Jasmine AND Genie. But the line is closed until after the parade. Boo. I had wanted to meet them all!!

So we decide to head over to Frontierland so my dad and I can ride Splash again. We can see all the parade lines and people waiting. My mom doesn’t want to watch it, she wants to do “stuff’.

On the way, I see a PhotoPass guy by Splash and take pics by myself!! I think Landon was sleeping…
Image049.jpg

Image051.jpg

But we get to Splash and…it’s down as well!! My dad thought that they just stopped running rides so that people would be forced to ride the parade. HAHA. Wouldn’t that be funny?

Now my mom really does NOT want to see the parade so her and my dad wander off and I decide I want to. Here’s me and Landon waiting for it.
P1030037.jpg

Now if you recalled, we were by Splash Mountain. Right where the parade ends. So I waited and waited…and waited. Did I lose patience or did I see the parade? Hmmm…

Another great update! Love the first haircut pics. Soooo cute! And you'll always have those Mickey ears to remember it. Love it!

Dang, what's going on with all the rides?

very cute first haircut, and you are getting pretty good at these cliff hangers, but the good thing is you post very often so i dont have to wait that long for the next one.:thumbsup2

i am guessing you waited for the parade to get to you cause they have stuff going on that will keep him entertained until it gets there.

Just wanted to let you know that I am following along too! Landon is simply adorable...you just look like such a proud and happy mommy! Loved the pics of his first haircut! Can't wait for more!

Love all the photopass pics you had done, so far! They are great!! I had to laugh outloud about the 'balloon' one....too funny! And a shame at the same time!! We took one of those on this trip too, I hope ours has balloons!!!

LOVE the 1st haircut pics!! And what a great deal for a haircut and ears! And such a nice memory for you!!:cloud9: Landon looks SO grown up with his big boy haircut, doesn't it just change them from little babies to big boys all of a sudden? I was SO sad when my boys got their haircuts the first time...my oldest we didn't cut until he was 15 mos. when people started telling us how pretty "she" was...obviously we waited a bit too long!! LOL!! Oh well, you live and learn with your 1st!! ;)

Can't wait to hear more!:goodvibes

I could always try to take longer with posting updates so the anticipation can kill you, if you want!

Thank you so much!! I am such a proud mommy!! Its seriously the greatest thing in the world!! I'm very lucky to have such a terrific son!!

I did get more balloon pics on my cd, but with just me. And they actually had the balloon! So you should be fine!! I don't know why that one didn't lol

Landon does look so grown up with his haircut!! I will have to post some recent pics of him since we've been home. He's been having to wear some of his fall clothes because its cooled down here and they're all like polos with long sleeves and jeans and he's had to wear shoes and he just looks more like a little boy than a baby and it makes me smile and cry at the same time! He's so dang cute but growing up SO fast!! Its not fair! All of their "firsts" are so bittersweet.

And some people really do wait a long time!! Your 15 months seems short, I saw someone there who was also getting a first haircut and they were over 2!! (And this was a little boy as well!) His hair was pretty crazy!! I wish I could've seen it after!

Oh my goodness! Landon looks adorable with his new haircut! That's awesome that he behaved himself so well while she was doing it, too! Go Landon!

The photopass picture of you jumping up in front of the castle is my favorite! I LOVE IT! :goodvibes

That totally stinks that Splash was down when yall went to ride again!!

Aw, Landon's first haircut! Adorable. :goodvibes Those are pictures that you will cherish forever of that!

 No balloons in that pic.

Thank you! I was so glad that he behaved so well!! The CM really knew what she was doing and was great at it!!

I have quite a few more jumping pics!! I only got them at MK and DHS though. My goal next time is for jumping pics in front of every park icon  I'm just a jumpy sort of person!

Thanks!! I really will cherish those pics...really all the pics from this whole trip! I can't wait to see him at the world through the years!!

Dang the no balloons!! Now we just look kinda like idiots!!

KIMMY!!!!! I"M HERE, lol!! Sorry it took me forever to get the heck over here. I have just been so busy with school, running, and life in general.

So loving this TR!! Oh I agree with you on California Grill. I don't think it's all that great. I did have the ravioli like your dad and the filet like your mom did and I thought they were really good, but we won't be going back. It was nice to experience once.

Aww Landon was afraid of Tigger. Poor kid. I'm glad the other characters didn't bother him though. Love the pictures, cute!!

I love his first haircut!! haha al the mickey stickers on him crack me up! aww and his little mickey ears, sooooo cute!!!!!!
